    My key responsibilities include the followings; 

  • Leading engagement teams through the project planning stages, supervision of the work performed, including close interaction with clients, review of field work and onjob professional development of staff;
  • Preparing detailed reports on audit findings and making recommendations to improve organization’s accounting and management practices, controls and systems;
  • Assisting clients in preparing financial statements including assistance in application of International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS, corporate taxation and financial reporting of multinational companies to their parent entities.
  • To participate actively in any new business development including proposal preparation and follow up.
  • Working in a multicultural environment comprised of personnel with various nationalities and making effective communication with them.
  • Monitoring the engagement budgets by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues with proposed resolutions to engagement leaders and ensuring that work complies with our Quality & Risk Management procedures.
  • Review of compliance with International Accounting Standards and generally accepted accounting principles by the companies being audited and providing them professional advice over their compliance status.
  • Assessing compliance with the regulations and controls by executing audit program steps; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Assessing risks and internal controls by identifying areas of noncompliance; evaluating manual and automated financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies. Performing risk assessment process before the start of any engagement which includes identification of both the operational as well as financial risk faced by the clients and to identify the procedures to mitigate them.
  • Additional responsibilities include client relationships maintenance and development, coordination with professionals of various fields including legal, actuarial and IT, and appropriate training and couching of staff; and
  • Communicating audit progress and findings by providing information in status meetings; highlighting unresolved issues; reviewing working papers; preparing final audit reports.
