Communication: I have excellent written, oral and listening skills. I am used to delivering activity
demonstrations to groups of all ages and for different occasions which required adapting to suit the
different groups. This involves being very energetic, friendly and approachable. During my current position
I have to perform to a high customer service standard which is constantly monitored.
All my previous jobs have involved communicating with customers whether this is face to face or over the
phone.
Teamwork: I can work alongside colleagues as well as on my own. I have worked with a large staff team in
which teamwork is essential to make things run smoothly for example, informing other staff members of
changes, helping out even when not asked to, covering things when needed or having a joint effort to
make something work.
Problem solving: I have developed very good customer care skills and the ability of prioritising enquiries
and problems and resolving them within a quick response to provide a first class service to the end user.
Whilst working for a call centre I had to deal with customers financial problems on a daily basis and resolve
the issue so both the company and the customer were pleased with the outcome. Whilst working at an
outdoor centre, problems change from day to day, so I am used to adapting to new situations. I have
experience group leading groups up to students, which involves resolving any problems the groups
have and making sure they have the best possible experience. As a Programme Administrator
programmes can change throughout the day or staff members can be off ill. This involved constant
changing to suit groups needs as well as meeting the centres needs and staff needs. During this position I
gained great skills in managing workloads and being approachable to other staff and customers was
essential. Whilst I worked as a ski rep I had to deal with solving problems on a day to day basis and do my
best to do whatever I could to do what the group required.
I have to solve customers’ problems relating to their bank account on a day to day basis in my current
position.
IT: I have a good working understanding of Windows packages including Word and Excel and the use of
the Internet and Email on a daily basis. I also have a small understanding of adobe Photoshop and Apple
Mac computers. I worked with Microsoft excel on a daily basis to create staffing spreadsheets and have
used Microsoft Word and Office whilst working for Recruitment creating letters and reports. I have used
different computer systems whilst working for QVC and Santander, which involved specific training. I am
also used to delivering IT activity sessions to children aged – years.
