My goal is to attain an opportunity within an organization in Event Coordination, Marketing, or Public Relations that will
enhance the growth of my current skills, as well as developing new ones for my employer.
As Event Coordinator at Lansdowne Park, I was responsible for the coordination of events, including concerts,
commercial and professional sporting events, as well as receptions and other community events. In addition, I was
responsible for scheduling ice time and field time for the Ottawa ’s and Ottawa Renegades. I have developed
excellent working relationships with local media, advertising agencies and clients that include The Ottawa Renegades
CFL, The Ottawa ’s OHL, Aramark CateringFood Services and Football Canada. I have several years
experience working with professional and local sports teams through my experience as Event Coordinator for
Lansdowne Park/Ottawa Civic Centre, Uptown Sports Management Toronto and Football Canada.
As Marketing and Sales Assistant for CSL Behring Canada, a successful global biopharmaceutical company, my
duties included, but were not limited to, executive assistant for the Director of Sales & Marketing, producing, tracking
and coordinating all marketing materials, budget and sales tracking for sales and marketing team, and the coordination
of all company events advisory boards, symposia, congresses, product training, internal meetings. Assist with the
design of health communications/and publications, as well as developing branding strategies with Marketing Managers.
Assist Medical Team with external communications, logging of all Adverse Events and data dissemination to Canadian
Blood Services and Hema Quebec.
As Executive Administrative Clerk for several Branch Managers within the City of Ottawa, including the Manager of
Information Management, the Manager of Real Estate Services and the Manager of Venture Properties, I have been
responsible for many tasks including, formatting and tracking reports going to City Council, supervising teams of
administrative assistants as well as training new employees, tracking inquiries from the Mayor’s Office, Ottawa area
Councillors, General Manager and the general public, producing reports on activities and expenditures within the
respective division as well as investigating any spending discrepancies within the department. In addition, I have been
tasked with scheduling meetings, drafting and formatting reports and various correspondence, communications,
booking travel, minute taking, and the production of ad hoc reports for annual budget review.
Possessing exceptional verbal and written communication skills is one of my strongest assets. Meeting deadlines, adjusting
priorities and multitasking have always been challenges that I have welcomed and succeeded at. I possess excellent
interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management
and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. I have ensured top quality customer service to both staff and clients
with whom I’ve been partnered with and have many written recommendations from clients that demonstrates my
character and ability.
Having over ten years experience, with a substantial knowledge of administrative office procedures, extensive research skills,
expertise in both project management and event coordination, proficiency in customer service, marketing and
communications, as well as accounting principles and procedures. I am at an advanced level with the Microsoft Office
Suite Programs. Being a proven team player that adds a positive approach to my work environment, as well as placing
a strong emphasis on team building, are a few qualities that I will bring to this position. In addition, I am willing and able
to travel for this position.
In respect to minimum salary expectations, I would say $, would be the minimum for a position such as this.
However, I feel that having a passion for the work you are involved in is by far the most important criteria for me, so
that would be negotiable.
