Projects for U.S. Department of Labor

  • Managed the design, development, and implementation of a peer networking online CommunityofPractice CoP to build an environment for learning, sharing information and encouraging stakeholder collaboration. Ongoing support for the CoP includes writing and editing blogs on subjects related to our nation’s workforce system, career development and education and training; developing illustrations and graphics to support written content, researching and posting relevant news items, videos, announcements, resources and links; developing instructional resources, and facilitating discussions.
  • Provided art direction, graphic design, illustration, copy writing, and production management expertise in the development of brochures, multimedia, fact sheets, event exhibits, presentations and other outreach and communication products.
  • Provided strategic planning, task management, content creation and outreach and communications support for new program initiative for a Federal agency. The initiative provided instructional resources to program practitioners and raised awareness of program goals nationwide leading to an increase in service delivery to workers and businesses and increased fund utilization rates by over %.
  • Provided extensive planning, outreach and communications, task management, and content creation support for a national workforce system summit, including development of all promotions, branding/logo design, participant materials, and signage. The summit was extremely well reviewed by client staff and participants and turnout exceeded anticipated numbers.
  • Developed and designed a comprehensive selfassessment tool used by workforce development professionals to help determine levels of preparedness, areas of strength and areas for improvement, as well as training needs. It also helped raise awareness nationally of all the tools, resources and partners that comprise effective layoff aversion and workforce development solutions that serve workers and businesses.
  • Managed and facilitated subgroup on partnership development for a National Workgroup, which led to the formation of new partners for a national workforce initiative; the new partnerships expanded the capabilities and solution offerings of statelevel program teams in their layoff aversion and worker reemplyment efforts.
