Created record album liner notes
and librettos leading to my nomination for a Grammy Award. Produced
industry ads for Billboard and Hollywood Reporter,
initiated ideas for album titles, photo concepts for individual
artists in the areas of pop and country western music, opera, symphony
and movie soundtracks. This required working directly with the
studio personnel and talent. Proof reading and publishing legal
details and disclaimers were also integral. Extensive research
also an important part of my responsibilities.
Buck Owens Enterprises
Typical days included promoting
country music celebrity tours by contact with newspapers and radio stations
and trade publications by creating press releases or conducting personal
visits.. A highlight of the position was coordinating the Buck
Owens Pro/Celebrity Golf Tournament for the American Cancer Society.
This involved intense interacting by creating detailed organizational
plans with sports agents, celebrities, local businesses, government,
and civic organizations. I wrote the “Buck Owens Fan Club Letter”
which was distributed to more than , fans nationwide. I often
assumed the role of “ghost writer”.
WBEN AMFM Radio
My daily assignment was coordinating
with the Sales Department and OnAir Talent in researching, writing
and producing radio commercials for prospective clients. The stations
are owned by The Buffalo Evening News
Warren Buffet and are CBS network affiliates. I also
produced weekly community oriented programs such as "Conversation
With . . ." and “University Round Table".
The programs featured community,
regional, state and national leaders.

As the Buyer of a $ million
category of occasional furniture for upscale stores, I attended national
furniture shows, meeting and negotiating with vendor representatives.
I maintained budgets and worked closely with the Advertising Department,
creating concepts and copy to accelerate margins. I provided product
knowledge and training to store managers and store sales personnel.
I was also Editor of The Barker,
the company’s employee news publication distributed to employees
in all departments and branch stores.
The company was an employment
agency seeking applicants to fill job positions of major companies in
the Los Angeles area. I functioned as a sales executive, soliciting
and filling full time job orders over the phone, as well as interviewing,
testing, coaching and training applicants for successful interviews.
The position paid a base salary plus a laddered commission. In
this highly motivated sales environment, I excelled consistently as
one of the top three producers in Los Angeles.

As an independent contractor I
was continuously rated the or Sales Representative in the country
for this nationally rated giftware company. I was awarded a place at
the Enesco “Hall of Fame” in Springfield, MA for my continuous production
and performance in sales. The job demanded % travel and participation
in trade shows, special events, corporate meetings and a variety of
outside corporate presentations involving prepared video and other materials.

from Mexico and sells them at retail. The Business was passed to my
son in . My forte was interacting with customers, creating
and producing advertising for newspaper, radio and TV and Internet as
well as floor plans and internal signage. I also maintained pricing,
budgets and inventory levels in all categories. Trade show attendance
and vendor interaction were also integral to the job.
