From // to //: The Aerospace Corporation
Sr. Member of Technical Staff I supported a comprehensive, world wide, satellite and launch vehicle failure reporting database, with emphasis on high profile US hardware. Data is hosted on an SQL server, with scripted inputs and queries. I queried and reported data also using Foxpro with an ODBC connection. I received, abstracted and coded data from program offices, such as DMSP, GPS, FSC etc. I also queried the web for current and past events related to satellite and launch vehicle failures and reviewed existing data for completeness and then updated set as required.. I initiated use of dual monitors to facilitate abstracting / copy and past. I also updated scanning and OCR to PDF procedures with purchase of a Cannon dual side scanner. Subsequent volume of scanning was contracted, allowing The Aerospace Corporation to capture and make available much historical / legacy data. I quarried this data set and provided many statistical reviews and reports.
From July to //: TRW now Northrop Grumman
Sr. Engineer, Reliability Department I provided spacecraft and component level Failure reporting on five programs and performed as secretary for over Failure Review Boards. I acquired data from responsible engineers, quality engineers, management and data provided at design reviews, and abstracted and coded into a "Reliability Data Base which I created with Foxpro. Reliability Analysis Reports were readable, and all fields could be easily queried. I performed Space System Level Reliability Predictions and Failure Mode and Effects FMEA analyses in support of design reviews. I had minor roles in proposals.
From January to July : TRW now Northrop Grumman
Sr. Component Analyst: Destructive Physical analyses DPA; and Failure analyses FA I coordinated Destructive Physical Analyses DPA on incoming part sample and prepared summary acceptance reports. I also coordinated part failure analyses using instrumental analysis tools, decapsulation, and cross sectioning,
