Director of NetSiam/ViewSiam, a geospatial information services company.  Founding partner with former Asia Business Manager for Sun Microsystems, the companies were first focused on network and data base management.  The earlier network and data base systems in Thailand had poor operational efficiency.  NetSiam offered management and repair services.  ViewSiam was added to capitalize on economies of scale with expensive to build geospatial databases, and offered GIS solutions to business information needs.  Created the first digital map of Bangkok with over data layers using MapInfo as the primary application.  Ported over to ARC Info for licensed users.  Applications included using geospatial data as components in decision support models for financial institutions.

Provided for an expanding Bangkok based office that eventually employed over professionals in geospatial solutions.

CHEMSTAR LABORATORIES LTD.  

Directed operations of small venture development firm specializing in technology commercialization with merchant banking and business development capabilities.  Initiated several joint ventures totaling more than $ million in new business for Thailand.

Accomplishments

• Developed proposal and negotiated partnership group with Lurgi, Jebsen & Jessen, and local industrialist to build an organic acids chemical factory based on fermentation of starch processes.  Targeted to intermediary chemical and plastics industry.  Negotiated license for proprietary fermentation technology.

• Acquired technology for aquaculture vaccines used in shrimp farming industry and protein commodity market.

BAAN KRUA TONG RESTAURANT –

Owner and developer with local Thai partner, an upscale Thai restaurant in the SilomRama IV area.  Seating for and night time garden bar were features of this successful venture.  Provided all staffing, training, accounting, marketing, and interior buildout for the restaurant.
