    Nellie Mae Foundation Program Coordinator       Holyoke Community College/ Community Education Project     

    The Nellie Mae Education Foundation funds the New England Adult Basic EducationCollege Transition Project, which consists of program sites across the Northeast region. The project itself is administered through a partnership with the New England Literacy Resource Center and World Education. The chief aim of the foundation is to increase opportunities for nontraditional adult students to obtain st century skills through postsecondary education. In , I was hired to work with the project as an Instructor at The Community Education Project, which is the adult education partner for one program site Holyoke Community College in Holyoke Massachusetts. I was quickly promoted to Program Coordinator and Grants Writer. My primary responsibilities were to ensure program participation through widescale community advertising campaigns and social networks, private donor development and grant writing to ensure refunding of the grant from through to .
