VidAs Project: "Scalable VOD Services Distribution for Broadband Operators". Duration: months. Budget: , Euros. My Role: Lead Software Engineer, multisource streaming reliability Aug. Aug. Objective: The VidAs is a commerciallyrelevant R&D project that aims to develop multisource streaming solution, which can be used to distribute legal stored VOD content to large numbers of users in a broadband provider&;s network. A prototype has been developed and initial work is being patented. Discussions with potential investors, commercial partners, and potential licensee are underway as the initial business plan is being drafted.
