Update project which allowed a team of four to successfully implement
changes on time and under budget for over programs in Accounts Receivables
and two other applications. This effort was followed by development
for a new A/R Collections subsystem and a Managed Care Reporting projects.
Medical Center CHMC: Worked remotely to improve quality and
reduce costs of application processes. Gathered needs and requirements,
applied maintenance and enhancement changes, diagnosed FTP issues, worked
on helpdesk, and constructed generic client and server socket programming
processes to replace FTP routines.
Assurant Health Inc.
AH: Used IBM Rational RequisitePro to collect and report insurance
project requirements for a new host interface process between the policy
administration databases and the xPression Document creation product.
With QA members, used IBM Rational ClearQuest to manage reported interface

As part of a transition to PeopleSoft and Oracle Financials, transformed
an inefficient IBM mainframe payroll to G/L interface to run on an IBM
RS/ AIX UNIX system by using MicroFocus COBOL for PC development
and tests before porting the software and scripts to the AIX system.
The improved design cut a long process time in half.
Joint Medical Computer
Center: Analyzed, redesigned, and developed the nucleus of the
billing portion of the Hospital Information System H.I.S that ensured
proper and accurate patient billing for multiple institutions. Maintained,
enhanced, and supported H.I.S. payroll, general ledger, and accounts
receivable systems to ensure accurate accounting for the institutions.
Eliminated the expense of an aging IBM mainframe system by participating
in the conversion of over Business Office system programs and JCL
from an IBM mainframe to Burroughs mainframe COBOL and WFL. This
required analysis of IBM mainframe source written in COBOL, RPG, Assembler,
Led and managed a project team to upgrade a major client revenue producing
system called the Transportation Client Reimbursement Schedule system.
This required two separate time periods totaling man hours which
were developed and implemented within seven percent of estimated budget
and on schedule.

Banks: Assisted the systems manager in the analysis, design,
development, and implementation of several new major multibank/branch
banking applications which included Demand Deposits DDA with multiple
types of statements, combined statements and forms, Certificate of Deposits
CD, General Ledger, Payroll Accounting and Reporting for commercial
and municipal customers, hour banking, automated Social Security
deposits, Safety Deposit Box system, Automated Clearing House ACH
system, and a Central Information database of customers.
Midway National Bank:
Assisted a lead systems analyst in the analysis, design, programming,
and implementation of new multibank/branch banking applications that
included savings, savings statements, combined statements, and check

Was a coleader in the initial project
estimates for analysis and modifications to the core nursing home facility
master files, online and batch processes. In the resulting Masterfile
Update project, colead a team of four developers for over programs
covering accounts receivable, cost reimbursement and marketing systems.
Succeeding projects included developer/designer efforts in the iSeries
staging of accounts receivable data which was interfaced to a new ARTIVA
collections system. To help solve a need for specific QA instructions
proving the development, built a QA Menu subsystem to supplement QA
verification procedures using existing A/R Online system. For the Managed
Care Reporting project, resolved a long standing and costly split claim
issue in the accounts receivable system. These projects involved program
development, emails, phone calls, and meetings with team members from
various management, analytical, QA, iSeries developer and GUI server

This was a remote assignment from
the Milwaukee branch to CHMC, Michigan. The CHMC assignment started with
a twoweek orientation at CHMC, then remote maintenance and enhancements
to AS/ programs, verifying an FTP problem, later helpdesk on alternating
days, and finally socket programming client and server programs. All
maintenance and enhancement ratings by users were checked as "Excellent.”
This work involved emails, phone calls, and faxes with users, IT groups,

the HIX System Deployment Plan and the Operation and Support Plan. Wrote
procedures and trained HIX team members to followed these procedures
to back up mainframe files used for problem resolution and rerun of
HIX processes. This also involved downloads to a server and the creation
