Ms. R. started Professional Placement Associates, LLC PPA with business partner, Beth Preston.  They set goals to reach out to as many companies with a need for permanent placement for experienced professionals.  The current clientele has shown great satisfaction in the quality candidates presented to them for potential permanent placement.  The importance of creating a good solid permanent employment match between professional candidates and great employers is our top goal at PPA.  

Most current before creating Professional Placement Associates, LLC, Ms. R. was the Director of Recruiting, and Member of the Executive Management Team for Beyond Insight, Inc. located in Atlanta, Georgia.  While at Beyond Insight she created the master recruiting process and managed a team of professional recruiters. This process was utilized by Beyond Insight team members.  She was responsible for building the client relationships and client databases in addition to building candidate relationships and databases. This plan is also in place and being utilized by the Beyond Insight Team. In addition, Ms. R. led and mentored a team of Intern Recruiters.  Other responsibilities included: human resources, change management, project management, partnering vendor relationships, budget development and management decisions.

Ms. R. directed the operation of a major chain Drug Store by driving sales and marketing efforts within the community, improving profit, the company image through the overall development and protection of store assets, the selection, training, and development of personnel, proper service to customers and constant technology training and development.                                                                                                                                                                       While coaching and mentoring a group of local store managers, Ms. R. was able to improve their level of competency in regards to professional development, people management and development, store operations, marketing and merchandising, sales, customer service, technology, and other aspects of managing a retail drug store.                                                                               For nine years Ms. R. performed as a District Recruiter bringing aboard Management Trainees and Business Management Interns. She completed presentations at college Information Sessions for perspective graduates, recruited at campus career fairs and prescreened public career fairs, interviewed college level candidates, hired and trained candidates within her store through a week training program developed by a team of training specialists including herself.                                                                                                                                                                                By working closely with the DM and MVP to create tailored local marketing plans that are aligned with corporate initiatives, Ms. R. was able to lead the execution of these plans to promote Walgreens programs at the local level.                                      Ms. R. joined the Walgreen team in as a Certified Senior Pharmacy Technician, then progressed to a Management Trainee and rapidly advanced to an Emerging Leader Store Manager and later to the role of Community Leader Store Manager, leading stores.                                                                                                                                                 Ms. R. was featured once and published as the Guest Editor once in the Walgreen World publication in addition to being published in Investment Matters for the Walgreen Co.  In addition, Ms. R. is author of the blog, ‘Life as a Pollyanna’, .

    Responsibilities listed below are in addition to Store Manager duties:

  • Coaches and acts as a mentor to a group of local store managers within the community on aspects of retail drug store management front–end and pharmacy operations, including employee management and leadership development.  Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for Store Managers in the community.
  • Maintains an awareness of and is actively involved in the performance of stores within the community to identify and address potential areas of operational improvement, and works with the manager on strategies to enhance store performance, implement market strategies, and improve sales and profit in the community.
