WORK EXPERIENCE  

Oct – Present  IT Server Analyst, Citi, Belfast

This position was a server Systems Administrator. I have many server hardware and active directory administration skills. My role includes administering windows , and File / Print / SQL / web and OVCM servers The servers are all Wintel and all are HP. I also am involved in NAS Administration with Netapp Filers, DNS Administration in VitalQIP, Tivoli Monitoring to name a few. I have also acquired further skills in vbscripting, javascript, web design, sharepoint and many other computer packages. I have also had experience in implementing Contols, Project Managing EMEA wide, Information Security and Systems Design. I also have a foundation certificate in ITIL version . I am currently studying for MCTIP 

Apr – Oct   R&D Technician, Brook Design and Hardware, Dunmurry

This position is an R&D technical position and requires me to test Window Vents and Glazing systems for Airflow Performance, Water resistance and Noise Prevention. D & D CAD and word processing are required. I was involved in new product development and also innovation of existing products and product lines. This role gave me independence to setup projects, investigate existing products and run tests the results were used to develop future products. 

Sep – Apr   Customer Services Assistant

This temporary role gave me the opportunity to develop my team working, communication and customer service skills whilst also giving organisational skills. Being punctual, friendly and well presented were required for all the roles listed as were basic numeracy, administration and language skills.

  • Modules include Design Methods, Industrial Design, Two design Projects, Materials Selection, Design for Business, CAD/CAE and Structural Analysis
  • Major Project: The design and development of children’s playground equipment. This project was a month project working with Playdale, a playground company in Cumbria. This project detailed a complete design process from concept to detail design.

  • Major Project: Colour Recognition System for Cubic Pattern Soccer Ball. This project tested my analytical and computational skills. I had to discover the feasibility of a recognition system by assessing the accuracy using a methodical approach.

    I have been a project leader on various projects since being in my team in Citi. The major projects that I am currently working on is RCSA and Patching. These require me to interact with other colleagues in and outside of my team and to influence people positively to reach deadlines. I have to collaborate and act with urgency, courage and conviction. 

    KEY SKILLS

    Communication

    As a hockey captain and coach I am required to communicate, motivate and inspire. I feel confident in speaking to small and large groups of people and had to give presentations frequently whilst studying and in the workplace.

    Teamwork

    I work effectively as part of a team in my current role, it involves liaising with other people from various cultures, countries and backgrounds and maintaining a good team spirit through all the work we do.

    Leadership

    I have showed leadership qualities by captaining my local hockey club XI team for two years, and coaching for years. I feel confident in leading and have done some internal leadership courses in my current role.

    Organisation

    On a daily basis I have to organise my time and prioritise work to ensure that I make deadlines. I use outlook and Microsoft project to help me achieve this.  

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    In my spare time I enjoy playing sports such as hockey, rugby and athletics, I keep fit by going to the gym, cycling and occasionally play golf and cricket. I enjoy coaching and umpiring hockey, having level two coaching award and level umpiring. I also enjoy the arts and was a member of the school choir and operetta whilst attending high school. I also have been to Romania with School Aid Romania, a cross community charitable organisation.
