    Bobcat EMEA, Belgium. Construction Equipment business of the Korean conglomerate The Doosan Group. Bobcat has manufacturing plants in six countries around the globe with annual sales of approximately US$. billion. Doosan adquired Bobcat from Ingersoll Rand in Nov . 

  • Responsible for the Bobcat and Utility Equipment Portable Power Marketing Planning Department with / direct reports Market Analysts and directly reporting to the VP Marketing EMEA.
  • Lead of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning SIOP process in EMEA and coordinate the Supply Team in Ireland to ensure prompt and accurate submission of the Demand and Supply Forecast. Correct Retail, Wholesale and Order to Factory Planning always monitoring adequate levels of inventory. Risk Assessment.

    This project reviewed the Extra Freight Cost EFC generation along the Purchase to Pay PP process across Europe. Covering € million/year and ca. posted invoice documents/month. Two main objectives were set up and achieved by the following actions:

    . Review invoice processing and payment by analysing and managing problems along the EU supply chain.

    . Reduce the amount of EFCs by identifying and tackling the key root causes. 

  • Process Mapping, value analysis & improvement of work procedures in the areas of logistics, finance and sales.
  • Measurement and analysis of EFCs incurred in the PP process notably return and rush orders. i.e. insufficient storage vs. Customer Service Groups CSG management issues; root cause for rush deliveries.
  • Change Management implementation of workflow methods within CSG in the UK for better management of quayside stocks avoid violation of FIFO rule.

  • Defined Key Performance Indicators KPIs to monitor & measure achieved supply chain savings: Realised savings of € million over the first year.
  • Cooperated with Cap Gemini consultants for the development of new ERP SAP transaction to improve transportation extra freight cost tracking system and convinced CSG to start using new tool.

    Basell Polyolefins Belgium 

    Basell Polyolefins resulted from the merger of Montell, Elenac and Targor in October . As part of the merger synergy savings were associated towards implementing a new approach to central procurement, based on volume purchasing and increased used of centralised negotiated contractual agreements by local shipping offices. Total volume € million/year, shipments/year, shipping points in Europe. 

  • Procurement and Strategic Sourcing for freight cost optimisation. Analysis of geographical distribution of customers, main logistics flows outbound and internal transfers and duration of active contractual agreements.
  • To monitor KPI’s related to total use of centralized agreements vs. total volume, analysis of deviations and implementation of ad hoc corrective actions.
  • Approved justified Extra Freight Costs and maintained freight contracts in SAP with updates.
  •  
  • Achieved annual savings in total transportation costs by taking part in the renegotiation of new transportation contracts, introduction of competition amongst suppliers, purchase of higher volumes and granting suppliers with attractive routes to ensure loads for returns trips.
  • Prepared training material and provided training to internal customers Finance Shared Center and the logistics groups at European Local Shipping Offices on the correct use of the newly unified ERP SAP system and selection of appropriate suppliers. Results on target: Ratio Use of Contractual Agreements vs. Total volume %.
  • Change management. Instructed Transportation Vendors on correct invoice issuing to minimize discrepancies with Basell monthly generated Selfbilling. Reduced in % total number of invoices.
