Visual Arts Teacher/Aid, St Edmunds High School Wahroonga April Present

I currently resume a fulltime Visual Arts teaching position at St Edmunds High School. My position involves a busy schedule in which I teach Visual Arts and life skills to children from years to . I work closely with children who are severely blind, autistic and live with a range of various other disabilities. My role not only involves art teaching but also includes use of administrational skills, organisation of performance plays, art installations and excursions to higher educational facilities with the students. Employing life skills into these children and performing, as a role model to these children is a constant requirement in this job.
English Teacher/Tutor April Present
I privately teach and tutor students on a weekly basis both in and outside of school. English lessons involve basic to highlevel skill of the English language. Students range from primary years up until senior years and I implement and create all programs myself.

My role at this school involves casual part time work as a Visual Arts Teacher, as well as volunteering two days a week as an allrounder. After recently completing a fiveweek block of professional practice at this school, I was approached by the headmaster to continue working with them in a more permanent teaching role. I also spend my weekends volunteering my time with the children, educating them artistically and employing life skills into their everyday.

During my studies I worked three days a week as a Logistics Assistant at Foxtel, and at the completion of my studies in November I resumed a fulltime position. The role involved assisting in the distribution of smartcards around Australia, data entry and research.

Each week I construct an art lesson with a group of adults whom are facing many and varied challenges in their lives such as homelessness, mental health issues, substances abuse, family breakdown, and unemployment. My role involved textile design and garment construction under the tutelage of leading Australian fashion designer, Akira Isogawa. I also developed commercial insights through administration duties, including managing Akira&;s correspondence with clients, suppliers and other designers, organising appointments and travel arrangements during international exhibitions, as well as general reception duties. Another major duty central to my role as Design Assistant was to instruct and observe all interns that worked within the studio. I would have as many as three at a time, I worked as Intern Supervisor guiding them through simple textile procedures such as; the dying and cutting of fabric, through to the creation of Look Books, and organisation of collections see below.

Technical skills in working with all mediums, from paint and watercolour&;s to pencil, resin and textiles. My preferred work remains however, within pencil and watercolour drawing and design on both small and large scale for both advertisement&;s and exhibitions.

Professionally trained with an artistic eye for detail, colour and coordination. I maintain the ability to converse and work with a wide selection of clientele and their artworks or subjects. Selected to be an artist involved in both public and private works that are sponsored by the JB Seed grant program. An organisation created by Iconic musician John Butler to support artistic expression and encourage the social, cultural and artistic diversity in Australian society. A fantastic experience for me that has given me first hand experience with working as a teacher so to speak, in which I have the opportunity to guide groups of young creative&;s in conducting larger art projects in public and recognizable venues.
JB Seed Project, sponsored by Australian band John Butler Trio, a Public Mural located on the Pacific Hwy Killara, Sydney NSW. The Australian Agricultural Institute, advertising the Royal Easter Show, employed me for a large mural work located at Sydney Olympic Park. Personal pieces for private clients and home interiors.
