Currently interning under Prof. Wendy Berry Mendes, in charge of obtaining physiological measures for several studies investigating social perceptions and preferecens, risktaking behavior, racedbased rejection and indirect speech. Independent Research toward Honors Thesis at Dickinson College. Awarded honors for experiments on the effects of a incidental disgust and b incidental anger on the moral judgment of smoking individuals. Supervised by Professor Marie HelwegLarsen. August May .

 

Risk Perception Lab at Dickinson College. Worked under Prof. Marie HelwegLarsen on a grant awarded by the National Institutes of Health. Performed crosscultural research on the relationship between risk perceptions of smoking behaviors and moralization. Conducted interviews with smokers in the U.S. and analyzed qualitative data.  Participated in the development of a survey and collected survey data in Denmark. January May .

 

Cognitive Psychology Lab at Dickinson College. Under Prof. Richard Abrams, collaborated on the design of a study on unconscious semantic processing in EnglishSpanish bilinguals. Kept participants information and payment logs, as well as performed administrative duties. January May .

 

Buenos Aires Institute of Cognitive Neurology. Assisted in research on executive dysfunction in patients with frontal lobe damage. While shadowing Ezequiel Gleichgerrt in the diagnosis of new patients, collaborated in research to validate an ecological measure of executive function. August November .

 

From Kyoto to Copenhagen: Negotiating the Future of the Planet. Currently working under Prof. Neil Leary on a research project about the United Nations climate conference in Copenhagen, Dec. . Attended the conference, developed, conducted, filmed and edited interviews with delegates from various countries and constituencies, wrote investigative papers on key issues related to climate change.
