V Offsites area, Project COMPERJ Rio de Janeiro Petrochemical Complex, Petrobras, Brazil.
Development of Aromatics intermediate tanks PFD’s and P&ID’s. Preparation of intermediate tanks
stream summary. Accomplished study for reviewing the capacity of both intermediate & final
products tanks for different scenarios: crudes Marlim & Cabiunas feed, process units shutdown &
complex startup impacts. Recommendations such as adjustments to complex startup schedule
and intermediate streams management strategies, presented to the Client consideration.
V IPMT area Integration Process Management Team, Project COMPERJ. Developed revision of
documents and Operating Manuals prepared by licensors Axens, UHDE, WorleyParsons, Lurgi
for Aromatics Complex, C HDT & Butadiene Extraction Process Units. Documents revised
included PFD’s, P&ID’s, PDS Drums, Towers, HX«s, Pumps. Quality & consistency comments
were submitted to Licensors for their review and correction. Process WorleyParsons representative
in the HAZOP study team for the Units above mentioned. Developed review for quality &
consistency assurance of the integration documents between the process units ISBL issued by
Licensors and OSBL documents.

V Engineering Review, Audit & Modifications of PICC PDVSA El Palito Refinery Conversion
Complex Revamp Project. Responsible for the planning, supervising and control of the process
activities for developing a technical review of the Project Basic Engineering documents & drawings
prepared by others for the FCC, HF Alky, Merox, Amine and SRU process units. A written report
and a presentation were prepared to present the review/audit findings to the Client. Also, a
preliminary FCC Operation Manual was issued. Technical review implied the revision of PDS’s
towers, HX’s, pumps, relief system, utilities consumption and storage capacity. Managed
Process Engineers during manhours of process activities.
V PSV Update Number FCC/GasCon Unit, Corpus Christi Refinery, Citgo. Planning,
supervising and control of the process discipline activities for performing the capacity evaluation of
existing relief valves PSV‘s at the FCC/GasCon Unit at Corpus Christi Refinery.
Overpressure events were identified for each PSV, required capacity determined and hydraulic
evaluations of inlet and exit PSV‘s lines were developed. Managed Process during man
hours of process activities.
V On going Tecnoconsult projects technical review. Developed Technical Review to
Tecnoconsult ongoing projects in order to determine compliance of documents generated to
Tecnoconsult Internal Engineering Practices ISO.
V Bid Preparations. Process Leader for the preparation of various bids for oil refining industry &
crude oil handling projects: KOC Kuwait, SINCOR, Petrolera Ameriven & PDVSA, etc.
Responsible for the estimation of process discipline manhours requirement, preparation of
process scope of work, process hardware and software requirements.

capacity. Activities developed: monthly/yearly Upgrader volumetric plan operation, operational
performance appraisal, warranty test run preparation, economics evaluations on process changes
in Hydrotreating/Hydrocracking and DCU, preparation of presentations and reports on planning
and operational performance appraisal results, among others.

up, evaluation of acid effluents system, consolidation of activities to be developed during the
planned plant shutdown, isostripper tower internals evaluation using gamma scanning tool,
technical notes preparation, HAZOP study, among others.
V Planning & Economics Supervisor. Supervision of the activities of planning, oil economics and
operational performance assessment for El Palito Refinery. Responsible for issuing the following
documents: refinery monthly operating guidelines preparation, development of economies for raw
materials acquisition and new products launching, impacts of plant shutdowns; participation in
refinery benchmarking studies, etc. PIMS user. Management of Chemical Engineers.
