Experiments were conducted and combustion visualization were done by High Speed Imaging for different test conditions. * Analytical modeling of Heat Transfer, Pressure and Temperature drop of Two Phase Flow in Natural Gas Pipelines. Theoretical studies were done to model Pressure and Temperature drop in Natural Gas Pipelines in the presence of shear driven liquid condensate. Heat and Mass Transfer between the two phases were also accounted in the model. * CFD Finite Volume Method course project on Interface tracking of bubble inside liquid using Level Set Method. Eulerian approach for finding interface by embedding the propagating Interface as a zero function of a higher dimension function Level Set Equation. Implicit First order upwind scheme was used to discretize the unsteady level set equation. This idea is often used to capture interface in multiphase flows and flame front tracking in combustion problem. * HVAC project in Design of Intermittent Absorption Refrigerator. Theoretical Design of Adsorption Cooling Refrigerator powered by cooking fire with AmmoniaWater as the working fluid. Computational study was done to estimate heat losses in the oven for three different designs and recommendations were made to enhance Thermal efficiency with net reduction in fuel consumption thereby reducing operational cost.Collaboration with GGK System, Bangalore, India * Engineer Trainee in R & D Division of MECON Ltd., Ranchi, India Feb Nov * Development of Thermoelectrically Heated Fuel Oil Filter for Automobiles in Cold Regions. A prototype of Solid State Thermoelectrically heated Oil filter for Automobiles was developed and tested which has the potential to eliminate cold starting problems encountered by Automobiles in cold regions. * Computational study of Heat Conduction for devising a Thermal Compensation Technique of InfraRed Camera. A novel mechanism of Athermalization of the lenses of InfraRed camera was developed by using an array of Thermoelectric modules by placing them on the periphery of the lenses in which the material of two were Germanium while the third was AMTIR.
