Objective Ihave recentlyrestartedmy career in bar management,
havingleft a sales role within the IT industry with the
companies blessing. I amat a point in my life now where I want
a job which can offer me a career with a greater level of
longevity and satisfaction than my last role.
I am ambitious and passionate about a career as a bar manager.
My strengths are in communication and team work, as well as
taking on significantresponsibilities and always delivering. I
am confident, friendlyand above all I am honest aquality not
necessarily relished in &;Sales&;. I thrive under pressure and
find more satisfactionclosing up after busy or challenging days
than those where I find myself idle.
Current role Bar/Floor/Door staff at Half Moon, Putney
thMarch the present
This role has been of great pleasure to take on as I am
surrounded by music and talent every day. The pub is also a
live music venue, so we embrace a varied crowd and strive to
push as many sellout events as possible. My responsibilities
include customer service, maintaining the pub front of house,
venue door, cashing up and invoicing of artists. I have begun
training courses to support my progression to management within
the parent company Geronimo Inns.
Previous work Presales Executive Rackspace, UK stNov
Due to the nature of the products and services that Rackspace
offered, I saw my role change considerably over the time I was
in this position. Essentially, I was the first point of contact
for a range of RS clients. Key to the role was ensuring that we
maintained a consistent ratio of interactions, and where
possible provide relevant information/company contacts for new
and/or existing clients. Every member of the sales team has
strict targets to maintain. This role helped me appreciate
corporate business on a number of levels, not only by being in
a successful, powerful company, but from the varied contact I
was able to have with our clients.
Sales Executive, Sixth Sense YouGov, London May August
My responsibilities included sourcing leads, following the sales
process from beginning to end, setting up meetings for referrals
as well as attending face to face business meetings. For the
sales that I had made, I managed the accounts of our clients.
This change in career was valuable at that point in my life;
whilst the role itself was not overly fulfilling I had the time
and funds to pursue hobbies which I hadput off for a long time.
Bar Maid at the North Star Mitchells&Butlers, London Summer
Responsibilities included the general running of front of house
as well as stocking up and changing barrels in addition to
basic serving dutiesI was trusted with the opening and closing
of the bar and regularly left to manage shifts during day
times. Benefits of the job included flexibility the company
understood I was finishing my university career. Unfortunately
the company had no room for progression during my time there,
prior to and since my graduation, so by Spring I left the
barindustry all together in order to work towards some of my
Mixologist at O Bar Orangetree, Leicester Jan July
Working at O Bar provided me with a return to nightclub culture

in a fashionable setting.

A stylish bar and restaurant, Pause was the first venue I worked

achievements Shortly before I graduated I won a place on a
business course arranged via my university. The company
provided a crash course in starting a business and also
provided me with a ?, grant to fund my business idea.
Developing my product and discussing marketing and sales
techniques made me realize the benefits of working for someone
else, although I do hope to manage my own business one day. For
the time being, this business idea is on ice, instead I would
like to learn how to run a business from successful people by
working alongside them. The course was very effective in
highlighting many of the issues which become apparent when
starting a business, as well as the skills required in
overcoming such problems.
Through some of the exercises and presentation I was involved in
I was found to have a strong abilities within marketing and
sales, as well as a tendency to adopt to the leading role with
ease if a situation requires it. This was all validated in my
career as a Salesperson.
Teaching myself how toDJ
I have spent the last few years saving in order to fund the most
expensive habit I have collecting records and buying DJ
equipment.I can now say that I am a competent vinylplaying DJ.
Experience on air
Following my return from the USA I used my spare time whilst
completing my degree to create a radio show through the
University&;s station called LUSH. My slots were two hours long,
once or twice a week, and allowed me to familiarize myselfwith a
new form of media I had not encountered before. The most
enjoyable element was organizing a theme each week and then
having the freedom to play music I enjoy and discuss relevant
topics within an arena I enjoyed and understood.
Grade VIII Award RADBallet
After over years of studying ballet I completed the final

food, drink, and music. I also enjoy writing and travelling.
