Apollo Group, Inc. is an which through its subsidiaries, has established itself as a leading provider of higher education programs for working adults by focusing on servicing the needs of the working adult. 
Currently provides executive support to the Vice President of Financial Aid and Vice President of Corporate Human Resources by coordinating schedules through consistent calendar management.   Liaise with department heads and governmental agencies in the Vice President’s absence.   Sole coordinator for all Leadership meetings as well as active participation in senior level business discussions.  Project management on critical initiatives involving large cost savings, change management and process improvements.  Below are a few of those successes:

Employee Self Service Portal/Manager’s Toolbox SharePoint Sites:

  • Worked in a project team of three to help design and implement a human resource tool for employees as well as hiring managers.  Solely created and actively maintain each of these SharePoint sites by regularly updating materials and the access permissions.
  • Project Management

  • Within my first six weeks of employment, took over managing a large initiative with annual cost savings of approximately $mm.  Consistently kept communication active and scheduled meetings to ensure all deadlines and actions were completed on a timely manner.
  • Chosen to become part of a critical change initiative corporate wide by being assigned to the Communication and Culture work stream.  Within this elite group, we are developing and driving corporate wide decisions in an effort to promote a positive atmosphere and culture during restructuring our student experience.  I am the only administrative representative that was chosen within any of our six large work streams which consist of high level critical executives across the organization.
  • TSYS Acquiring Solutions

    Executive Assistant – Tempe, AZ           June to February  

    TSYS Acquiring Solutions is a wholly owned TSYS® subsidiary delivering advanced technology and enhanced value to many of the world's leading companies, enabling hundreds of millions of consumers to use their credit, debit, commercial, privatelabel, prepaid and chip cards safely and securely. 

    Primarily provided executive support to the Chief Financial Officer, President of Infonox a TSYS company and Senior Director of Corporate Strategy, as well as managed daily operations on behalf of the executive team. Effectively prioritized, exercised discretion and judgment on matters of high confidentiality and sensitive nature, handling details and day to day issues independently assuming responsibility, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness, completing work in a prompt and timely manner, solving practical problems and interacting with persons in all levels within the company as well as many external executive prospects and clients.  Executive coordinator assisting with project management, process improvements, cost savings initiatives.  Below are a few of those successes: 

    Annual Promising Leaders Program:

  • From the inception of this distinguished annual executive leadership development course, I was the sole coordinator for an average of + executives; negotiating meeting venues, travel and accommodations.  Created a program management tool for seamless standardization of each meeting as well as successfully undercutting projected budget by $ – $k annually.

    Internal Networking Program:

  • Helped to implement and maintain an internal TSYS sponsored networking program for women in the electronic payments industry externally known as WNet through facilitating, advocating, and planning monthly meetings; thus aiding increased inhouse membership by over %.

    Executive Support Structure:

  • Built and employed a seamless “Executive Support Pyramid” which enabled a smooth transition of support during the absence of the dedicated resource to a primary and/or secondary assistant without lax in executive coverage.

    Project XA:

  • Created an Executive Assistant roundtable which met bimonthly to discuss processes, changes, training, support issues in an effort to promote a teamwork environment as well as implement necessary process improvements and changes needed to ensure the highest quality support could be given to our executives.

    TSYS Acquiring Solutions 

    Executive Assistant to the President – Tempe, AZ               

    Provided executive support to the Office of the President, efficiently maintaining the schedule for the President.  This included, but was not limited to:

  • Scheduling of internal meetings, coordinating all logistics and gathered necessary documents in advance. Scheduling external meetings with high volume clients, prospects, partners, and contractors. 
  • Answer incoming phone calls, interoffice and incoming mail using discretion to screen callers and letters, delegated items when possible to the senior staff.
  • Remodel and redesigned the Office of the President:

  • Project coordinator for the remodel of the President’s office, with successful completion within a six week lead time as well as closing the project $k under budget.
  • Fifth Third Bancorp

    Executive Assistant, Finance Division – Cincinnati, OH                    Feb to June 

    Fifth Third Bancorp is a diversified financial services company headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. The company currently has $ billion in assets, and operates in affiliates, with , full service Banking Centers. 

    Provided sole executive support to the Bancorp Chief Financial Officer, Director of Mergers & Acquisitions, Bancorp Controller, Bancorp Treasurer, and Director of Investor Relations & Corporate Analysis. Effectively prioritized and exercised discretion on matters of high confidentiality and sensitive in nature.  Successfully solving practical problems and interacting with persons at all levels within the Bancorp as well as many external high level analysts and investors.   Executive coordinator assisting with project management, process improvements, cost savings initiatives. Below are a few of those successes:

    Event/Meeting Planning:

  • Coordinated monthly, quarterly and annual employee meetings, Leadership, Affiliate & Line Of Business meetings, annual CPE training, and Audit Committee meetings.  Closely assisted in preparation of Board of Directors meetings, Executive/Enterprise Committee meetings, Operating and Management Committee meetings. Personally ensured the timeliness and quality of all PowerPoint presentations and additional meeting materials submitted by the Chief Financial Officer as preparation for the meetings. 
  • Project Coordinator:

  • Continually worked on large company wide cost savings initiative and projects, such as corporate redesign of the rd floor building new offices for the Bancorp CFO, Director of Investor Relations, Bancorp Treasurer, and an Investor Conference Room.  
  • Vendor Management/Negotiations:

  • Worked with a variety of vendors to establish corporate rates and locked in contracts.  Then uploading the company into the Vendor Database as “approved” for Bancorp wide usage.
  • Cost Savings Initiatives: 

  • Corporate Subscriptions.  Solely negotiated tiered discounted subscription rates for our main financial journals – the American Banker and Wall Street Journal.  Continued to work with the Information Technology Network group for installation and maintenance of the web portal on our intranet site.  Total Bancorp annual savings amounted to $k.
