CAREER OBJECTIVES

I am an innovative, strategic thinker, who is equally able to turn my hand to the implementation and operational aspects that go handinhand with the running of a department. Another key to my success has been my problem solving ability.  I have proven that I am able to lead effectively, through example and practising compassion, and by energising change, all of which ensures that I maximise on the capabilities of those working for me.

CAREER RECORD  

My first exposure in this vibrant field of Human Resources Management was with the Namibia Airports Company, when I was assigned to manage the Human Resources Department in . It was a challenging task, however, commitment, discipline and my “bad” habit as a workaholic pulled me through the most difficult hurdles of the responsibilities. The Namibia Airports Company was rated as the best performing companies and I have, without any doubt, contributed to that recognition. 

I continued to develop my personal and professional careers and was appointed as General Manager at the Namibia Wildlife Resorts and I have not deviated from personal goal to become a reputable and leading HR executive in Namibia.. 

I am currently in the employ of Namibia’s leading financial service provider: FNB Namibia Group that is, heading the entire human capital of more than staff. My duties are broad and ranges from preparing and presenting HR strategies and policies for approval by the Group Executive Team and participate in Group strategic development programmes. I also consolidate staff budgets annually, present them to the Executive Team for consideration. 

Managing the incentive share scheme, obtaining input for nominations from line management annually and present to Executive Committee Exco as well as serving on strategic and remuneration committees are integral task on my Job Description. 

My duty is also to ensure strategic alignment between all Human Resource functional departments and that of the Group. I am the custodian to ensure compliance to all HR legal requirements to minimise risk and exposure of the Group, while I am also managing the process for work permit and visa applications with the Ministry of Home Affairs and ensure proper record keeping.  

I constantly prepare and submit monthly reports to the Central Bank of Namibia on staff complements and biannual balance of payments for expatriate remuneration to satisfy statutory requirements. 

Our shareholder, FirstRand, also ranks high on my priority list to provide them with annual progress on business continuity plans and provide reports and information as required. 

Serving the Institute of Bankers as an executive member to manage the institute and attend to training and development programmes and decisionmaking for the industry is also on my plate. 

I am an active Trustee on the Pension and Medical Aid Funds representing the FNB Group in all forms of decisionmaking to ensure the desires and needs of FNB Group for its staff are successfully implemented.. 

Personal Vision 

My vision is to provide a happy, caring and stimulating working environment to my fellow colleagues to enable them to recognize and achieve their fullest potential. This will enable them to give their best contribution, both personally and professionally. 

Interests 

I like travelling, watching sport such as soccer, tennis, and rugby. I am a funloving personal, fond of outdoors; especially nature fascinates me a lot.
