Georgiana COŞOVEANU

Georgiana Coşoveanu graduated in International Affairs and Economics in Romania, specializing in Global Economy in . After obtaining a graduate degree in International Economic Relations in Moscow in , she began her work at the National Health Insurance House of Romania. Ms. Coşoveanu started out as a Counselor in the Department of International Relations, later becoming the Chief of the Division of European Integration, and eventually Director of the combined Department of International Relations and European Integration when these two merged.  During this period, she completed a Diploma in Law to complement her background. She was a Visiting Scholar at the George Washington University, School of Public Health and Health Services in , and she achieved a Certificate in International Health Policy, Finance, and Health Systems and Health Care Management. In this International “Leadership for Health” Program of the Georgetown University, she did her internship at PAHO Pan American Health Organization in Washington DC. After one year of studying and living in USA, she came back at her institution in Romania as Superior Counselor of European Integration and International Relations. Meanwhile she has collaborated with Romanian Institute for SocialEconomic Research and Polls IRECSON, having cessionary contract for the author right. Since she has became the Executive Director at the Health Insurance House of the Transports, Constructions and Tourism Ministry. She collaborated as a Romanian expert and coordinator in a Project on Health Care Modernization in Central and Eastern Europe – Romania developed by the EuroAtlantic Action Commission of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in . As a health professional she was appointed by the Romanian Prime Minister as Governmental Technical Counselor of the Romanian Governmental Delegation at the th Session of the International Labor Conference Maritime Convention at the United Nations in Geneva in . Additionally to her professional development, since she has became research scholar as health economist in the Program “Finance and Mental Health Services Training in Developing Central European Countries, ” organized in cooperation of the University of California, Berkeley, USA and the Charles University in Prague. Furthermore, she complemented her educational background with a Master degree in the European Programmes Management and Institutions at the University of Bucharest in .

Georgiana Gheorghe, currently Coşoveanu has published a chapter on Romania in the volume The Social Security Systems of the States Applying for Membership of the European Union.  Furthermore, together with an international joint team, she published an article on Mental Health Services in Four East European Countries in the Bulgarian Journal of Public Health in .

Objective
Progress as a health professional in the field of the health services and health care systems, financing, health insurance, international trade in health services.
