    ALARDA PHC CENTRE: 

    Position Summary: 

    I provide and manage patient care, which includes physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, counseling and, where necessary treatment or referral, in accordance with the currents standards of health care and quality criteria.

     

    Nature and Scope of Position: 

    Assessment and management of patients seeking medical fitness certificates; conduct physical examinations to provide information required for admission to schools/Universities, consideration for jobs, premarital check ups, eligibility for insurance coverage or for medical fitness certificates; 

    Ensure that quality management programs are implemented and monitored on a regular basis in consultation with Chief, Medical Services and senior Consultants; 

    Assist Chief, Medical Services and senior Consultants in giving professional guidance and counseling to clients seeking medical fitness certificates, when requested; 

    Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with clients; order and interpret test results, analyze records, reports and examination information to diagnose clients' conditions; 

    Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury; monitor the clients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatment as necessary; refer clients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary; 

    Collect, record, and maintain clients information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results in a timely and accurate manner; 

    Interact and coordinate positively with all internal staff, like nurses, technicians and administrative staff; 

    Assist in preparation of annual reports of the medical department and its units including statistics; 

    Assist in the supervision of the implementation of infection control and safety procedures in order to protect clients from being infected; 

    Participate in approved training programs and maintains adequate continued medical education CME; 

    Participate in teaching and diagnostic practice, organize regular seminars, promote research activities and clinical investigative work; 

    Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    Work well with public and effectively deal with both genders and effectively manage angry, irate or disgruntled clients;  

    Serve as back up to other department personnel as required

    Exercise sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, integrity and professionalism in all transactions including communicating and working with highly confidential and sensitive information;  

    Excellent attendance, punctuality and dedication to position; consistently arrive to work and departs from work as scheduled. 

     

    Competencies: 

    Exceptional customer service skills; strive to ensure that every person visiting the PHC receives the highest quality service possible; 

    High competency in counseling and furnishing essential interpretation of clinical findings to the clients;  

    Knowledge about physiology, emergency, medical treatment, surgical techniques, sterilization and aseptic techniques, medical ethics and specialized medical treatments and procedures is up to date and standardized.  

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu combined with the ability to provide excellent customer service with high level of integrity, honesty and desire to improve both quality of work and working conditions, Arabic being learnt. 

    Flexible and willing to work on a shift basis, outside normal working hours and during holidays; 

    Capable of working in any section with males or females or/in any associated / affiliated department outside PHC premises; 

    Ability to work as a team member and in multidisciplinary and multinational settings; adoption at handling multiple tasks simultaneously and establishment of crossfunctional relationships; 

    Accept working in exposed and open areas; willing to work with individuals with infectious or communicable diseases. 

    Basic investigations like CBC, LFT’S, SERUM ELECTROLYTES, MP’S, BLOOD SUGAR, ESR, SEROLOGY FOR BRUCELLOSIS, SALMONELLOSIS, Urinary Examination For SCHISTOSOMIASIS, Urine R/E being done and interpreted with expertise

    Xrays all body including chest abdomen Para nasal sinuses, bones etc. 

    Management of all acute emergencies like snake bite, scorpion bite, high grade fever, acute gastroenteritis, epilepsy, unconscious patient with hypoglycemia,shock,post fits, cardiac emergencies e.g. Arrhythmias, heart blocks, cpr, drug intoxication , sickle cell crisesusually vaso oclusive crises more common here. After initial management patients  referral to the hospital for further management.   

    ALTAF HOSPITAL ABBOTTABAD PAKISTAN: 

    Daily morning meeting with all the staff discussing and presenting of important cases, admitted as well as various topics from text. 

    Ward rounds daily with daily monitoring of patients, reviewing their progress, investigations, complications of disease itself and drug or other therapies. Follow up of discharged patients, their various medical and legal problems reviewed and proper advices provision,  

    Emergency duties in ER dealing with all the acute medical emergencies, e.g. Acute MI , arrhythmias, comatose patients, stroke and TIA’S, epilepsy including status epilepticus, acute severe asthma and status asthmaticus, poisoning, envenomation, high grade fever, respiratory failure, hypercalemia, hyperkalemia, hypocalcemia ang tetany, hypothermia,  

    Out patient department days a week . Management of all acute and chronic medical cases including investigations, diagnosis , complications recognition and various therapies prescription. 

    Rotation duties evening/night/morning.  

    Patients transferring with ambulance to the higher centres for variuos investigations like CT scan, MRI, bone marrow etc, and admissions.  
     

    BENAZIR  BHUTTO SHAHEED HOSPITALFORMERLY CALLED DISTRICT HEADQUARTER HOSPITAL ABBOTTABAD PAKISTAN: 

    Participation in various departmental activities like arrangement of workshops, communication with various organizations medical,govermental,ngo’s,local, political, religious for conducting various programmes, workshops, medical camps and research purposes. 

    Delivering lectures in medicine to rd, th, th  year medical classes using multimedia, transparencies and white board.

    Conducting rounds with seniors i.e. Registrar, assistant consultant, associate consultant, consultant head of department 

    Training house officers and medical students.  

    Exam conduction medical college, question paper preparation, oral viva, spoting, slides preparation, paper checking and marking.  

    On call to various hospital departments i.e. Surgery,obs/gynae, urology, E.N.T.,Ophthalmology, Orthopaeics, Paediatrics etc for managing of various medical issues, diseases and complications.
