    AREAS OF EXPERTISE AND SPECIALITY  
  • Visual perceptual therapy: This is a very effective therapy that corrects most literacy and numeracy difficulties with only three hours of therapy. The therapy is also effective in other areas of neurological dysfunction such as stroke, acquired brain injury, following neurosurgery, etc.
  • Soft tissue evaluation, treatment and management: An acupressure technique, which is very effective in the resolution of pain, restoration of muscle function, increasing range of motion, correction of postural abnormalities such as kyphosis and decreasing compensatory techniques.
  • Acquired brain injury evaluation, rehabilitation, and management: this includes the training via workshops for healthcare workers, caregivers, and family members.
  • Wheelchair seating and positioning: modification of wheelchairs to meet most needs for mobility, pressure relief, contracture management, decreased use of restraints, and to correct dysfunctional posture.
  • Pain management: Also an effective programme that achieved % outcome in terms of a durable decrease to a self manageable level or resolution of pain. Medication use decreased to nil or occasional within – weeks typically. This programme places an emphasis on the selfmanagement of pain by the client.
  • Management structures and communication strategies: I have a long history of working with my employers in demonstrating a clear ability to evaluate the effectiveness of their management structures and communication strategies and developing and introducing increasingly effective processes.
  • People management: I have a proven ability in assessing or profiling people, identifying strengths and weaknesses and providing effective management strategies.
  • Needs identification, product development and marketing: In all employment situations I have demonstrated an ability to identify the needs of the client group I work with, the business itself, the means of developing products and services to fulfil these needs and marketing them appropriately. In demonstrating this ability my endeavours have been across the whole of the business and not confined to the area I may have worked in. I have been able to show that I have a very good understanding of the business practices, policy and procedure in any business I worked in within three months.
