Simon Michael T.
Batty&;s Barn Close, Wokingham, Berkshire RG HJ
I am a confident and competent person, with a good sense of humour and excellent interpersonal skills. I enjoy working as part of a team, and equally working independently of others. I have fine tuned my professional attributes over a year period of working in the prehospital emergency environment as a Paramedic with the NHS, and then internationally as a Flight Paramedic. I have a passion for helping people and have grown from boy to man in this field. I now seek to further myself by gaining an even broader life experience and seek international opportunities. I believe I would be an asset to any team I join and enjoy encouraging my colleagues and peers to develop. This has been demonstrated in all my previous roles. I am highly driven and motivated and as such would be a benefit to any employer. I have always planned and set myself goals, and exceeded these goals.
I am a HPC qualified paramedic with over years experience of full time emergency work, which covers a very diverse range of managing stressful situations. In this time I have achieved every level of training with excellent results and demonstrated clinical proficiency at all times. My clinical skills include:
* Advanced life support paediatric and adult
* Scene management and working with other emergency service teams, including various hospital specialty teams and social services, and general practitioners
* Training and supervision of staff on various levels, including acting up into official supervisory roles
* Delivery of trauma management including analgesia and all kinds of prehospital patient care
* Using and understanding a wide range of emergency and non emergency medicines for every aspect of prehospital patient administration
* Working as a team member or in an unsupervised capacity, working alone as a rapid responder
My greatest personal attribute in all these fields and in my personal life is my interpersonal communication. Having dealt with such a range of different professionals and patients over the years has made it my second nature to be able to communicate confidently and smoothly with people from all walks of life. I have often found myself nominated as the communicator, in often bizarre scenarios, with everyone from delighted new parents to those who have suffered great loss.
