Position : Cook / Chief Cook
When my Rig Contract Terminated at Santa Fe, I was approached by MAFF to work as the Ships
Cook. I worked hard and was soon recognised for my abilities and seeing my flair and aptitude for
the role I was soon promoted up to Chief Cook .
I was responsible for the taking control of the kitchen, preparing and organising meals along with
the day to day running of the accommodation facilities. I was also tasked with managing all
aspects of the Scientist off time whilst on the vessel.
Due to the nature of the role, I was responsible or up to Scientists/Crew and at times found
ourselves anchored for days on end whilst the scientist conducted their research. So had to ensure
that we had enough supplies to see us through the time we had at sea.

Position : Camp Boss
During this time I was employed as Camp Boss where I was responsible for all hotel services off
shore. I provided the staff to prepare the meals, accommodation and day to day living whilst on
my vessel. No one could go on and off the vessel without my knowledge.
I prepared all meals, menus, responsible and accountable for all costings relating to he kitchen
area and prepared all accounts to my superiors on how much meals and materials cost the
I was deployed to Nigeria for a short term assignment to an off shore drill ship where I took
control of the Kitchen and hotel management ensuring food beverages, accommodation, safety
was provided at the high standards laid down by the company.
