Function Description:                         

Responsible for Directing planning, controlling, coordinating and participating in Personnel activities engaged in securing all hotel properties, employees and Guests; ensures that safety and Loss Prevention Procedures are followed.

Job Missions:             

Service Duties: 

  • Delegate to supervise all Managerial staff within the Department, and assist them in preparing work schedules.
  • Conform to and enforce policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as laid down by the Hotel in order to achieve the highest levels of uniformity and guest service. Devising and implementing strategies that focuses on the prevention and containment of situations and incidents that may acquire potential to cause material or reputation damage to the Hotel.
  • Providing the General Manager with adequate and constant information on matters that may call attention to legal liabilities through infringements and violations of statutory laws and regulations.

  • Offering the General Manager logical, unbiased analysis when so requested.
  • Activating confidential investigations when so requested by the HR/General Manager.
  • Discreetly assist the Management towards recovery of unpaid bills and the discharge of disreputable guests from the premises.
  • Advise the General Manager of possible fraudulent activity from members of staff.
  •  

    Business Management: 

  • Handle and resolve all guest queries and complaints in an efficient manner and establish an amicable relationship with all clients, custO.s and guests of the Hotel.
  • Through close supervision, recommend improvements and changes to the operation of the Department, especially concerning creating better service standards.
  • Using diplomacy, tact and personal relationships to defuse volatile situations involving the local authorities.
  •  

    Loss Prevention: 

  • Monitoring staff attendance and assist in planning work schedules.
  • Maintain a Hotel logbook on incidents, complaints etc. and refer them, if required to the appropriate department for follow up action.
  • Prepare various monthly reports as required by the General Manager
  • Conduct regular operational meetings to review, monitor, adjust and upgrade the performance of the Department as a whole, explaining new directions, policies, and procedures at the same time.
  • Prepare the annual capital and operating budgets for the Department in conjunction with the General Manager and ensure departmental expenditure is kept within budget.
  • Enforcing of the Loss Prevention policies and procedures of the Hotel, and ensure that at all times in all areas of the Hotel that they are being strictly adhered to.
  • Monitoring the PRP, and compiling the necessary monthly audit for the same.
  • Responsible to lead the Emergency team incase of Emergency and conducting the emergency drills.

    Human Resources & Community:

  • Plan and organize regular Departmental training for all staff, especially new staff, paying particular attention to courtesy, efficiency, service standards, grooming, diplomacy and actual job knowledge.
  • Identify and develop leadership qualities among subordinates in order to guide them towards the path of career enrichment within The Address Hotels, and additionally provide the Hotel with a source for future management.
  • Work closely with other Departments of the hotel, and attend regular meetings on a periodical basis.
  • Participate in providing and receiving constructive criticism concerning the Department and the Hotel as a whole, in order to improve efficiency, productivity and guest service.
  • Ensuring that members of the Security team do not harass, or subject to humiliation, members of staff, it is obligatory of Loss Prevention Employees to treat all members of staff with equality, respect and professional courtesy.

    Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform other related duties and special projects as required by the General Manager and other department managers, both within and outside the Hotel.
  • Be ready and responsible for other duties assigned by the General Manager.
  • July until July :

    Pre opening Team for The Palace The Old Town The Address Hotels & Resorts, responsible for the same above mentioned assignments, managed to run smooth operations for three years until my internal transfer decided by the management to layout a bigger responsibility at The Address Dubai Marina Mall.

    May until :

    Assistant Security Manager Novotel & Ibis DWTC rooms Assigned to provide an efficient professional operation primarily consist of handling and managing the security team in a daily basis PreOpening Team, to   protect the two brands and preserve the public image & the values of Accor company and Accor values.

  • Performing the tasks of the Security Manager during his absence.
  • Staff scheduling, Documents check, i.e. gate passes, keys register, Security memos/notices, security alerts.
  • Conducting daily shift briefing to achieve the company objectives
  • Compile a daily reports for the attention of the Security Manager.
  • Ensure that guests & staff are treated with respect and courtesy.
  • Investigate all accidents and incidents within the properties.
  • Gather intelligence information from sources within the Hotels related to frauds and illegal activities.
  • Check with the staff housing officer for security related problems.
  • Co ordinate with the local authority
  • Perform the work of training coordinator, instructor.
  • Check the daily activities of security personnel and the supervisors check lists.
  • Scheduled as PM Duty Manager two times a month
