Apr. Nov. : CAPITAL TOOL AND DIE

Contract position  DIVISION OF THE UTIL GROUP 

Recruited as Plant Operations Manager  for this OEM/Aftermarket Brake Parts supplier, my responsibilities included the daily management of operations for Conventional and Fineblank stamping, brake shoe welding and assembly, and hardware products. Working closely with the Scheduling and Technical groups, customer past dues and delivery issues were eliminated within months, with new plant layout activities implemented to provide a more streamlined efficient process flow. I was involved with developing Capital and Departmental Budgets while interacting and providing technical support for the Mexican Plant operations and customer support activities. 

Nov. Apr. : VRK MEXICO

Contract position  DIVISION OF VANROB/KIRCHOFF 

Recruited as AGM for the development of Press Shop Stamping activities including progressive and transfer tools up to tons. Managed the scheduling and technical aspects of daily production activities, while working with process and new tooling engineering to implement new press shop processes and CIP projects. Coordinated activities between VRK press shop and contract toolmakers on new launch projects for Volkswagen, Chrysler and Fiat tool proving and troubleshooting new tools, while assisting with the press shop expansion and press addition.

                        STRUCTURES AND SUSPENSIONS  GROUP

                        DIVISION OF MULTIMATIC INC. 

As the General Manager P & L, Quality, Human Resources, IT, and other System driven activities were added to my existing responsibilities as performed in my AGM role. The division was consolidated onto shifts with the headcount reducing to employees. Managing the operations team, the operational costs were reduced by % while maintaining a single digit PPM rating and % ontime delivery rating to its Tier customers. New customers and technologies were added in this time, significantly LASER WELDING as used on the IP for the new GM Electric VOLT, and the Ford F Stepgate.  

Sept. Jan. : INMET 

                        STAMPED AND WELDED ASSEMBLY GROUP

                        DIVISION OF MULTIMATIC INC. 

As an Assistant General Manager of this Kaizen facility, I was responsible for the management and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Operations including, Process Engineering, and Maintenance, welding, stamping up to tons transfer and prog. and Tooling activities as they pertain to this , sq. ft. plus employee, shifts, Automotive Manufacturing Operation.  Welded instrument panel assemblies, stamped and welded suspension components, stamped and welded subassembles are the primary products produced at this facility. I was actively involved in quoting, costing and launch of all new business and processes, for Inmets Automotive Assembly Integrator, and Tier customers. Global customers such as GM, Ford, Chrysler, Aston Martin, were the core of Inmets customers.

Feb. Aug. : NORMARK MANUFACTURING

                        DIVISION OF COSMA INTERNATIONAL

                        ONE OF THE MAGNA GROUP OF COMPANIES 

As Assistant General Manager I was responsible for managing the daytoday Manufacturing Operations for this shift, employee division. Managing the Operations team we were able to meet and exceed both the operational measures and goals as established in the Business Plan. My responsibilities included managing quoting, costing, design, and launch of all new business and processes, including tooling, stampings, robotic welding and assemblies. Global OEM customers such as Ford, GM, Mazda, Nissan, and Chrysler were the recipients of products and services provided by this division, a division with a history of quality, reliability, and dependability.  
 

Oct. Feb. : COSMA INTERNATIONAL

                        ONE OF THE MAGNA GROUP OF COMPANIES 

Recruited as a Corporate CIP Manager, I was involved with trouble shooting and performance improvements, including operating procedures, personnel, and processes as necessary while working with customers and launch teams to achieve the approval of products and processes, prior to being promoted to AGM at Normark Mfg. 
 

Jan. Oct. : BERTRAND FAURE LTD.  

Recruited as the Tool room Manager for this manufacturer of precision stamped and assembled seating components for the OEM Automotive Sector.  Responsible for the Tooling activities, Budgets and personnel for shifts of Conventional and Fineblanked stamping operations, gear tooth broaching and welded assemblies for this unionized facility. Assumed the role of Manufacturing Engineer working in both Canada, and US divisions, while working with Japanese partner FujiKiko on full seat assembly/mechanisms projects. 
 

Jan. Jan. : SEEBURN METAL PRODUCTS Beaverton Facility

                        DIVISION OF THE VENTRA GROUP 

Recruited as Technical support for a new CIP team, my responsibilities included coordinating the activities of skill trades personnel implementing operational improvements to both the stamping and assembly departments. Quick die change, JIT production, s and other Kaizen activities were the main responsibilities of the CIP team. Assumed the role of Tooling Manager involving managing the daytoday Tool room activities over shifts.  I was responsible for budget management, purchasing, and hiring. I was involved in setting up a Tool room for the Mexican division, as well as traveling t other Ventra divisions in the US. as technical support to corporate trouble shooting activities. 

 Worked as a Tool and Die maker for automotive parts manufacturing suppliers:
