    Injection Molding Supplier Quality Engineer      //

    Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and communicate quality control and assurance requirements to suppliers insuring that production and shipment of products is in compliance with company, customer quality standards.
  • Conduct new product design reviews with suppliers, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Engineering to identify product and process critical characteristics, tool requirements, measuring methods, gauges, statistical processes, product requirements, packaging, project scheduling, and qualifying processes using CPAP PPAP.
  • Conduct daily meetings with Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing departments to review the quality of supplied products.
  • Address nonconformity of products with suppliers to ensure technical and quality problems are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

  • Evaluate products/processes and associated build documentation to validate product/build conformity and make recommendations as well as execute changes to improve product quality, yields and reduce scrap.

    Stamping and Roll Forming: Developed inspection procedures, process capability studies and participated in the preparation of the documentation for the Sears SNAQ audit. Evaluated scrap material to reduce waste by $K.

          Motors: Worked with Manufacturing Engineering to develop visual aids, inspection procedures, process improvements and determine root cause of defects.

       Motor shaft: Participated in the design of screw machines, machine capability studies, inspection procedures, and quality plans.
