Reduced manufacturing costs supporting margin increases of %. Upon joining Western, discovered
that margin was less than % per customer. Worked with clients to demonstrate better Design For
Manufacturing DFM products. Identified best material costs and most effective manufacturing efficiencies.
Implemented new manufacturing process. Requested to implement new service of conformal coating to
Western previously outsourced. Liaised with customers providing samples, procedures and implementation
time to bring conformal coating into facility. Completed implementation within six months.
Setup new product line for startup division. VARIL wanted to implement a new product line, different
from previous products. Led team to set up manufacturing line and fitted building for equipment, personnel,
processes and procedures. Increased annual revenues from $M to $M a year within five years.
Established LEAN manufacturing process. Company needed to streamline production. Led group,
working with consultants and personnel to implement LEAN processes, with all department managers
participating as a team. Supported increased profit margins and improved productivity %.
Downsized facility, incorporating automated equipment. VARIL wanted to increase profitability and
reduce overhead. Cut production force %, while training personnel to operate and maintain new
