OBJECTIVE: Seeking a secure full time position that would enhance my knowledge and career in the

Hired as general laborer in foundry, became iron pourer, next became DISA machine operator, then worked as utility man which consisted of welding cast iron fittings, then worked quality control for final inspection of parts before shipment, then accepted office position duties included timekeeper and safety coordinator. I then became part of management as a safety supervisor overseeing safety throughout the foundry to comply with OSHA standards and to protect the workforce. I was next promoted to Cupula melt supervisor overseeing the melting of iron procedures and balancing chemistry, I also ordered supplies, raw CASTS and other charging materials, at the same time i still held the responsibilities of safety supervisor. Shutdown procedure during the foundry shutdown period I oversaw the relining the interior of Cupolas which involved rebricking, installing high temperature refractory in a timely manner to keep from holding up production, promoted to scheduler/sales associate working under plant superintendent. Duties included scheduling production on a daily basis in a productive and timely manner, received orders from jobbing customers answered questions, consolidated delivery dates and quality concerns of their parts, I then applied lean manufacturing to my OTD to insure that my customers received their parts in a timely manner.

Larry car operator, worked located on top of charging battery, in charge of filling battery with coal to heat to be heated up and produce coke, then accepted bid for catch car operator which included operating a rail car to catch the coke coming out of the ovens, then accepted bid for door machine operator which includes removing oven doors and guiding the coke from the battery into the catch car, then moved up to coke handler duties included operating conveyor belts that loaded rail cars with the finished product, worked track gang repairing rails, replacing ties, operating switches and also locomotive engineer which included operation of the locomotive, moving cars throughout the facility
