                                                    Inspector with over twenty years of experience in the fabrication Stainless Steel Pipe, Steel Fabrications, Structural Steel & inspection of engineered components such as control panels, motors, heat exchangers, lifts, fittings, flanges and forges, valves Gate, BFV and fire hydrants. Other engineered components are large electrical tower components. Also possesses experience witnessing testing Charpy, Tensile as well as witnessing and verifying dye penetrate testing. Coating inspections including coatings on assembled products such valves and hydrants as well as tar, fusion bonded epoxy, cement, glass, ceramic and concrete coatings. All inspections are to industry code and standard as well as client specifications.

Technical Specialist

Third party inspector able to monitor all aspects of assembly and machining including verify gages are to correct settings and monitoring and verifying loadouts and shipping. Also able to witness chain of tests performed and witness dimensional checks as well as perform dimensional inspections on pipe, fabricated pipe, pipe spools and bends. Able to inspect gear boxes including control panels and wiring. Able to witness NDE including dye penetrate, ultrasonic gages and ultrasound testing and inspect coatings including tar, epoxy and cement as well as asphalt tar coating on valves. Third party inspector able to inspect Fabricated Steel Structural Fabricated Parts, Ash Hoppers, Channels, Stainless Steel Pipe. Witnessing and inspection of mechanical testing includes witnessing pressure testing, tensile pulls and heat treatments. Able to inspect motors, control panels and motor control centers including inspection of setup. All inspections performed to industry code and standard as well as client specification. Reviewed documents and witnessed testing of Check Valves also perform dimensional checks. 

JAN – PRESENT THIRD PARTY INSPECTOR

QC Inspector

Review documentation MTR, C of C, Drawings. Witnessed Centrifugal Casting, Tensile, Charpy, and Hydrostatic testing. Also witnessed the application of cement, glass, and ceramic lining to the ductile pipe, dimensional inspection during all phases of operations and performed a final inspection of the Ductile Iron. Dimensional inspection of stainless steel fabricated pipe, hydrostatic testing of fabricated pipe. Job performed was for NYC DDC & DEP.

                                                    Review of documentations MTR’S and drawings. Witnessed testing, and inspected coating of fire hydrants. Reviewed documents and witnessed testing of BFV’s Butterfly Valves. I am a third party inspector who is able to inspect ductile Iron fittings and glands.

Responsible for expediting all types of equipment for project construction.   Visited problem suppliers' plants to monitor progress of equipment and met with vendors' management to resolve any problems affecting timely manufacturing and shipment.  Also responsible for liaison between Moody International, Bureau Veritas of North America, Velosi  and vendor, to ensure material was on schedule.  Interfaced with field expediting and Planning & Scheduling Division to maintain schedules and coordinate work priorities and interfaced with Cost Estimating and QA Divisions regarding contractual terms and conditions.  Prepared and updated material monitoring reports and consolidated material and engineering information and delivery status report.  Provided input to status reports and maintained vendor drawing file.

Vendors I have done expediting work for are:  Department of Design and Construction, NY, Department of Environmental Protection, Conoco Phillips, Kuwait Oil Co., China Petroleum, Rolls Royce Energy System, California Water, etc.  
 

JULY – DEC  M&H VALVE CO.

Quality Control Technician

Handled all returns and evaluated all claims against products.  Conducted inspection and field repairs of products all over the country.  Wrote reports on all returns and track and report return status.  Performed daily audits of parts being machined and products being tested.  Powder coat systems check performed daily.  Tracked heat and adjusted as necessary, maintained the speed of conveyor, performed chemical checks of the cleaning solution and daily reports on the PH level.  Maintained all gages used by the machine shop and foundry as well as inhouse calibrations. Coordinated outside vendors in plant facility.  Purchased all gages and materials required to machine all parts.   Helped implement calibration system for all gages Go/No plug and thread gages, pressure gages and all hand held measuring instruments.

Arranged for outside sources to do onsite calibrations. Performed daily vendor audits of all incoming materials.  Processed all defected material notifications. Worked with schedulers daily, to provide prints for each part being machined.  Worked with management to analyze and correct quality issues. I have also worked with outside municipality inspectors.  Set up tracking systems. I have used the following tools: Calipers, Micrometers outside/inside, telescopic gages, ultrasonic gages, painting thickness gages and various other measuring tools.

Bluing Systems Manager

Duties included preparing parts to be machined and setting up the days machining schedule. Maintained all chemicals used for bluing.  I inspected all parts during the bluing process. Serialized all guns manufactured. Manually set up and operated the automated numbering engraver.
