California Army National Guard, Accession Task Force
Duties: Responsible for contacting, interviewing, and processing qualified applicants into the Army National Guard. Conduct telephone prospecting and inform prospect about employment possibilities with the Army National Guard. Conduct presentation at job fairs, classrooms, and employment centers. Conduct background check on applicants and enlistee. Determine and evaluating applicant eligibility. Responsible for acquainting high school and college officials with educational and vocational opportunities within the Army National Guard. Follow up on past and future commitments. Established and maintained relationship with civilian managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs. Established and maintained rapport with unit commanders, unit readiness NCOs, and unit personnel to ensure a mutually supported recruiting and retention program. Brief local and higher commanders on units strengths/weaknesses, and assist with unit retention. Work with unit family support coordinators and family members to foster a cohesive and family atmosphere within the unit. Represent the Army National Guard in the community.
