    Experience  

    Worked as Graduate Apprentice in Indian Space Research Organization V S S C, Trivandrum  

    Area of work: Reaction synthesis of Gamma Titanium Aluminides in vacuum and Argon atmosphere, forging of Ti – Al – V blocks and their evaluation by optical metallography and mechanical property tests. In Reaction synthesis elemental powder mix is ball milled in Fristch Planetary mill   to produce intermetallic compacts. In these experiments, effect of pressure was studied and optimum conditions for achieving full density product were finalized, Characterization of the samples was done using SEM and XRD techniques. 

    Worked as a part time research assistant for Titanium based project in the University of Waikato. Nov th   th Jan  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    , Production of consolidated Titanium, TiAlV based materials using, Forging, Rolling techniques 

    ,  Mechanical testing of the  consolidated samples using room temperature and high temperature tensile testing, room temperature compression testing and macro, micro hardness testing 

    , Characterization of the samples using optical and scanning electron microscopy, Xray diffraction techniques. 

    Presently working as a Research Officer for Titanium based project in the University of Waikato. Jan until now

    To synthesize nanocomposites of SmCo/Co Fe by High Energy ball milling technique and to investigate microstructural stability and characterization of exchange coupled magnetic nanocomposites. To study the magnetic properties of milled nanocomposites and see the effect of milling parameters on magnetic properties. 
     

    B E Project 

    To study the corrosion behavior of medium strength Al – Zn – Mg alloys at different pH values using computer controlled scanning potentiostat.
