I would like to apply for the position of the Project Assistant in your organization / project by the Worldbank
TwinningProject “Strengthening the National Statistical System of Kazakhstan” based in Astana city.
Due to the recent “suspension” of US Peace Corps in Kazakhstan under US Embassy Kazakhstan auspices and other
personal reasons, I am currently looking for a job in Astana city. I strongly believe that continuing my career in your
project would be a great opportunity for me.
During the years of work with US Peace Corps Kazakhstan, I had several promotions and worked in
Administration / Finance and HR unit these activities were under one unit, supporting on average US
Volunteers annual average and staff members.
Also I was a liaison person between US Peace Corps, HQ and different local legal entities such as: Banks; Tax
Committees, Notaries, Medical Insurance companies and other local Vendors. I acted as a Contracting and
Procurement Officer for contract signing with the local vendors and worked as a Purchase and Travel card holder for
making purchases of goods and services. Conducted a policy related presentations for staff and Volunteers at the
sessions and conferences.
Prepared and translated documents into English, Russian and Kazakh languages.
