  • Editing written material on the range of work conducted by Canadian federal government employees CIDA; DFAIT; CSC; DND based in Kandahar, Afghanistan for the Afghanistan.gc.ca website. Entailed abbreviating highly detailed reports on such topics as dam construction, prison reform, education and polio eradication and making it into  “accessible” language for the website p
  • Prepared Asia Branch Results report for CIDA Feb. ; work entailed editing and rewriting reports from various individuals in countries who submitted their respective reports progress on projects and programs. My challenge, successfully executed, was to shorten all reports and present them in as consistent a style as possible into one page report for senior management’s attention.
  • Writing and editing all ministerial and parliamentary briefings related to developments political and social in the Middle East region, and briefing notes for senior management for meeting overseas dignitaries from the Middle East, May – September ; required extensive liaison with DFAIT, PCO and other departments, editing and coordinating their respective input.
  • Researched and wrote five issues of The Magazine, a webbased intranet newsletter which addresses operational issues at CIDA, published every three months July – March
  • While based in Harare, Zimbabwe, , edited and invariable wrote entire content for various newsletters for CIDA projects, including for an agroforesty project, for an environmental project and for an industrial energy project. Samples available.
