Holds strong connections to influential technocrats inside most important institutions such as the Royal Court, the Prime Ministry, Ministries, the media and private organizations. Maintains an ability to generate excellent reports and writings in both Arabic and English in the current position. This position operates under the highprofile IMET International Military Education & Training Program and ISAM / ITAM programs under the MSNTCI MultiNational Security Transition Command IRAQ. The position involves maintaining most recent knowledge of the visa regulations in their bureaucratic side and political implications, particularly between the Governments of Jordan and Iraq in addition to USG regulations. While the position is assumed to be technical entitles, it extends regularly and on dailybasis, into observing and reporting to management on the political aspects of these issue related to travel, particularly implications of [politics on visa regulations for Iraqis, and Iraqi sovereignty gain involving requirements of visas for Americans. Matters above involve continuous follow up of the Jordanian media with independent interpretation of the implications on the offices operations, for example with visa regulations for Iraqis. This evolves into coverage of internet and paper media. Maintains the daily calendar for Iraqi student travel, manages the flow scheduled student travel. Makes and receives phone calls and email communications with IMET Program Officer regarding student travel. Coordinates travel requests with commercial travel office. Requests commercial airline flights, ground transportation and lodging accommodations as required to support student travel to various CONUS/ OCONUS locations. Receives ITOs from IMET Program Officer and provides required fund citation information to commercial travel office. Promptly forwards itineraries and Etickets to SAO. Prepares and maintains administrative files on all correspondence, including chronological files of student travel and general administrative files. Submits periodic travel summary reports as required. Responds to requests by ISU Director, IMET Program Officer, or other agencies for travel expense/ summary information as required from time to time. Researching claim of humanitarian refugees&; applicants in sense of political, legal and factual findings, this involving massive media researchers and analysis. Providing analysis and assessment for decision makers at the embassy, and on occasions providing reports that contribute to the police making back in Canberra. Undertake interviews for applicants from the family immigration section at the Australian Embassy in Amman and IOM Syria for Iraqis, Jordanian and Syrian applicants. Check information, complete and send security cables for assigned cases Cases quality assurance: mandatory checks, medicals, penal waivers. Monthly reporting.
