The Operational management
and support services to a designated group of Yachts and their owners.
Delivering a consultation service with regards to local knowledge, technical
expertise and problemsolving in whichever area of the world the Yacht
is operating. The ongoing monitoring of each yacht’s compliance with
the required legislation. Designated Internal Auditor and Safety Manager
for the Companies fleet. Arrangement and attendance at Flag state surveys
and audits. The reviewing and updating of all Yachts Safety Management
Systems and their Ships Security Plans.
MARINE SUPERINTENDENT Faversham
Responsible for the day to
day running of general cargo vessels, including undertaking ISM/ISPS
Internal audits, Safety and Security inspections etc, ensuring Master
and Crew have completed all the required paper work associated with
the Safety management System. Planning and managing drydocks and Surveys
as required, ensuring all work is completed on time and to budget. Utilizing
my understanding of many codes and legislation's for which I am extensively
involved with whilst working alongside class societies. GL, Lloyds,
BV and various flag states, UK, Isle of Man, Barbados. Ensuring personnel
are appropriately trained and have the correct certifications for their
assigned vessel. The reviewing and updating of our safety management
system, and ensuring all emergency safety drills between ships to shore
are carried out, there after reviewed and improved as required.
/ LECTURER, MARITIME SAFETY. Southampton University
Employed to instruct &
Lecture in Maritime & offshore Safety and to ensure all small craft/life
rafts, Rib’s, rescue boats etc in operation and its associated equipment,
have been maintained and inspected as per schedule by myself to the
required standards and maintenance schedule set by both Flag, Class
and Insurance. I have also designed and presented lectures and produced
papers on Maritime Safety & training. Responsible for the management
& supervision of Sea survival technician instructors, including
exercise planning & staff deployment. Assisting and supervising
repairs on all survival craft and associated equipment kept by the University,
which includes GRP, FRP and wooden craft such as life boats, rescue
boats and Rib’s.
MASTER of GOVERNMENT RESEARCH

Surveying the U K’s coastal
waters and being responsible for all on board including the planning
and execution of all Surveys, responsible for a range of specialist
equipment and machinery on board. Used as a source of information and
advice to senior management on all health and safety matters. To oversee
refits and dockings on all small commercial craft operated within the
company and ensuring that maintenance is completed and each vessel adheres
to the standards set by Flag State and Class. Responsible for risk assessing,
auditing and the implementation and review of the Company's Safety management

CRAFT SPECIALIST, HM Forces
Commanding all types of Landing
Craft, including fast pursuit Craft in all conditions of visibility,
weather and Sea State, able to carry out maintenance and repairs on
a variety of craft built with a range of materials. Serving in many
different regions of the world in small teams and generally unsupervised.
