     I have an excellent attendance record and am proud to say that in years of working in Japan, I only missed days of work. I have worked on teams that have achieved their goals successfully and as a solo where required. I am able to lead others and I can run a unit when necessary. I have gained management skills as well. I am also able to learn new systems and abilities quickly and can adapt to any environment and/or position where necessary. I have good oral and written communication skills and will stay with the task at hand until finished. I am a selfstarter and like to be part of a team. I can get things done well.

      I have a Radio Operators license, have had a forklift license, and can speak intermediate Japanese. Also while in Japan, I achieved Shodan status Black Belt in Aikido. My years in Japan also gave me new insights into how to achieve goals set by, or for me.

My studies included Communications Skills, use of Semantics and Media, and Composition. Learned good oral and written skills as well. Also received Radio Operator’s license.

Current Job 

Prologistix/Schenker. January , present. Casepicker for Proctor & Gamble. Loading pallets for delivery to dept. stores on the east coast. In charge of distributing the terminals for my shift. Also member of the Safety Committee. 

Education Field 

     From to I lived and worked in Japan. I worked primarily as an ESL teacher in schools in or around the Tokyo area. I also did occasional work in the entertainment field.

     The majority of my work in Japan required the teaching of English as a Second Language to Japanese citizens of all ages. The primary focus was on children. Everything from flash cards and games children to text books adults  was used. Also used was drama. All styles, including conversation, grammar, vocabulary, and business. I gained much experience in the teaching industry here, including how to adapt to different types of methods, working as a team, and multitasking.

     I have an incredible amount of experience in caring for children ages . Not just in the classroom, but in their basic needs as well.  Several places required me to serve not only as a teacher but also as a caregiver when the parents were working. Many of these schools were run like a Daycare with immersion into the English language. As a result, many Japanese children were able to speak English by their fifth birthday.
