Hobbies and Interests:
I was a member of Menston Rangers and have completed my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award and have started work on my silver award. I enjoy working with The Menston Brownies and since moving to Scarborough have joined two more brownie groups, I regularly lead small groups on my own on various activities and organise various evening meetings. I have gained my Look Wider certificate and finished my Young Leaders Award. I passed my driving test in July . I play the piano and have gained grade in practical and grade theory; I also play the clarinet in my free time which I really enjoy. In August I was fortunate enough to go to South Africa to work on a game reserve in Phinda, I researched rhino, elephant and lion populations and tagged their movements though the game reserve. I also looked at cheetahs and recorded their movements and also took part in a leopard and rhino captures to tag and refit radio collars. As well as general observations of the reserve, and going on many drives.
Through university I have gained many skills and new experiences such as how to go about starting a project and the procedures needed to do the proper background research, how to convey ideas to a group. As well as giving many presentations about the projects carried out to fellow students and lecturers. I also leant how to manage my time when doing my dissertation so everything was handed in on time. I have become a lot more confident in public speaking due to many presentations.
Since finishing university I have worked part time jobs to help me save up to move over here to Cyprus. As well as completing my TEFL course. I have also been learning Greek at Shipley collage which I thoroughly enjoy.
My friends would describe me as Cheerful, smart, a very happy person, with a great sense of humour, very easy to get along with, always smiling and very outgoing.
