Dun & Bradstreet  Consultant    / to / 

Hired as project lead to support D&B’s expansion efforts at locations throughout the US. Was solely responsible for large centers Austin, TX, Center Valley, PA, Greensboro, NC, and Tucson, AZ.     
 

FedEx Kinko’s  Consultant    / to / 

Hired to support the FedEx Kinko’s merger.  Worked closely with the merger team to ensure a smooth transition of the employees into the new FedEx Kinko’s model.   Developed operational controls and programs to bring the two global businesses together so they can function as one unit.  Integrate the best from each company into the new business model.

Hired to support the expansion of the company’s professional certification group.   Consulted on the integration of newly acquired companies as the company expanded rapidly through mergers and acquisitions.   Performed due diligence on each location to ensure institutional memory and skills are maintained, while moving the organization towards an integrated educational focus.    
 

ALSTOM Service  Global Director    / to / 

Hired by this $ Billion global manufacturing/engineering/service company to assist them in breaking into the US market and continue its growth throughout the Americas.   As a member of the Management Committee – responsible for developing cohesive strategic directions for the company as we explore acquisitions, jointventures, mergers, and Greenfield expansion opportunities throughout the Americas.    Was the lead member of the due diligence and transition team for the Calgary, Alberta Canada Ogden facility.   Worked closely with the union CAW to secure the concessions required to move ALSTOM into the Ogden facility.  Was a key member on the development and proposal team for the BNSF/ALSTOM Alliance facility partnership.   Led the transition of the Alliance facility from BNSF operational control to ALSTOM’s operational control.   Worked closely with the unions in Alliance to ensure the smooth introduction of ALSTOM technology and management staff.   Hired and trained ALSTOM management and staff, wrote and introduced ALSTOM Service US policies and procedures, and continue to support the operational needs of the facility.   Developed and led training programs which allowed newly acquired companies along with newly hired employees to understand ALSTOM’s culture and integrate them into the existing , employees.

Hired by the owner and President of this Internet Company to help them staff up in support of the explosive growth and their IPO.  Set up the company’s initial HR programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the infrastructure existed to support the professionals coming in.  Was responsible for identifying professionals for the company’s IT, Sales, Development, Integration, and Administration.  Hired over people in the six months of the assignment.

Hired by the VP of HR to develop a cohesive strategy of recruitment for the company.   Supported all areas and focus was to identify, attract, and retain competent individuals for the company’s, IT, Engineering, Accounting, Transportation, Logistics, Sales, Administration, and Executives.

Empowered by this global ERP software company BPCS to standardize the hiring and recruitment effort across the organization.  Was responsible for the annual recruitment budget for the company.  Created progressive programs to improve retention.  Worked closely with the project managers to assign the appropriate number of Manufacturing, Financial, ERP, and technical consultants to the project to ensure we met the customer’s “Go Live” date.  Assigned consultants to projects in over countries and hired as required to meet company and customer demands. Oversaw all of the US regional offices and the corporate headquarters to ensure legal compliance with all employment laws.  Developed and implemented policies and procedures which reduced SSA’s dependency on outside agencies and lowered the company’s “cost per hire” and average “time to fill”.   Championed the global sourcing effort, which allowed SSA to internalize its research and identify candidates for each of its branch offices, which further reduced the company’s dependency on outside agencies.   As a result the savings to the company was over $ Million.
