• In this position setup the company and am leading rollout of a US$ M Greenfield GSM
operation with .M capacity for phase one.
• Preparation and board approval of year business plan with a strategic vision of making Warid the
preferred operator within a span of years.
• Special emphasis portraying a realistic market size and growth opportunities and achieving
EBITDA positive in year .
• Instilled the idea of penetration/growth through continuous innovation and differentiation.
• In depth involvement in development of retail and distribution infrastructure to ensure maximum
market awareness through cost effective trade development plans.
• Introduction and implementation of core value system emphasizing on being an equal opportunity
• Overseeing preparation and finalization of HR induction plan, Sales & Distribution & Marketing
• Development of Business Processes, Product Development/Selection, IT & GSM rollout plans.
• Negotiations with Key Vendors, the Regulator and other government agencies for acquisition of
dual band GSM License, Spectrum and financial incentives.
