Director : Operational Excellence Services, Ericsson Telecommunications, sub Saharan Africa

May present

Overall responsible for driving change programmes, managing performance and related key performances indicators of over resources and accountable for the process, forecasting and timely availability of delivery / operational resources for all projects in the region approximately resources from a wide variety of global sources.

The major focus of this role is to drive down costs and improve quality of service delivery through operational excellence and efficiency.

Key successes in this role include the speedy and successful rollout of a corporate maturity programme into a organisation in the throes of a restructure; and reaching “stretch” target for all Operational Excellence in Service Delivery key performance indicators. 
 

Head : Resource Management, Ericsson Telecommunications, sub Saharan Africa

May – September

Accountable for the facilitation of sales growth in the sub Saharan Region, through the forecasting and provisioning of correctly qualified delivery resources by efficiently utilising the regional resources spread across countries in sub Saharan Africa resource pool, global resources and third party resource suppliers.

As head of resourcing, Julia was operationally responsible for the initial unit set up and sourcing of all internal and external resources, as well as owning, driving and developing as necessary, all linked processes and tools.

In September , the line management responsibility of the function was transferred to a different part of the organisation, however, the responsibility for the processes remained in her ongoing role as Director for Operational Excellence Services.

Key successes in this role include the development of the regional resource management strategy and subsequent developing and resourcing of the team into a highly efficient unit, recognized globally within Ericsson as best practice for external resource management as well as internal resourcing tool management. 
 

Head : Partnering and Sourcing, Ericsson Telecommunications, sub Saharan Africa

September – April

Responsible for the facilitation of sales growth for Ericsson in sub Saharan Africa through valueadd partnerships with complimentary external companies, as well as the provision of correctly qualified delivery resources by efficiently utilising Ericsson’s global resources, Service partners and third party resource suppliers.

The key focus of this role was to actively develop Professional Services in the region by supporting Ericsson’s ambition to be their customers clear choice for services by educating internally and externally throughout the region.

Key successes in this role include reaching “stretch” target on external resource sourcing savings set by the Swedish head office for two consecutive years.  In real terms these savings amounted to over USD million.

 

 

Head : Service Sales, Ericsson Telecommunications, sub Saharan Africa

June – August

Accountable for ensuring the Service Sales targets in the region were met and/or exceeded.  Driving the visibility and positioning of the Ericsson Global Services portfolio in the region, creating account management / sales organisation desire and understanding of the value of Services driven sales.  Developing the unit resources to the level where they were sufficiently competenced to sit directly into the sales organisation per key account and still effectively drive successful Services sales business.

Key successes in this position include increasing the percentage of the Ericsson Global Services portfolio sales in the region from less than % to over % the three year period Julia was responsible for this unit.  Personally Julia was also a core member of a regional efficiency programme which consolidated savings in the region of over double the original target set by corporate.  Ultimately the regional programme reached a savings total of million Swedish Kronor. 
 

Manager : Strategy & Business Development, Customer Unit British Telecom & Telfort, Ericsson Telecommunicatie BV, The Netherlands

September – May

Key responsibilities in this role included building on the customer’s success by utilising the Ericsson network to developing strategies for new business, identifying opportunities for new sales, helping the customer increase ARPU and subscriber base and developing and continuing strong, trustbased relationships within the customer.  The role was also responsible for the coordination of all customer communications from within the Ericsson account team for Telfort and British Telecom. 
 

Senior Account Manager Services, Customer Unit Telfort, Ericsson Telecommunicatie BV, The Netherlands

May – August

As senior account manager for all of the Ericsson Global Services Portfolio sales, Julia was commercially accountable for EURO – million per calendar year.  Her responsibility was to meet these sales targets and build and improve the relationship with a multicultural customer Telfort was the mobile breakoff of a partnership between the Dutch Railways and British Telecom.  She had matrix responsibly for all resources and Professional Services sold and delivered to the customer.

Key successes whilst in this position included being an integral part of the account team to make the second Managed Services sale in Ericsson globally to Telfort, managing their rd generation network and the sale of EURO million in Learning Solutions to the customer to be delivered over a limited month period.  Personally, Julia was recognized at the end of for her major success in sales by being the only Account Manager in Ericsson in the Benelux region Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg to receive % stretch bonus for reaching her sales targets.

 

 

Quality & Business Improvements Manager, Global Customer Support Organisation, Ericsson Telecommunicatie BV, The Netherlands

May – April

Julia held the responsibility for all the operational systems of the division; as well as Business Improvements Projects towards internal customers – st & nd line support organisations; programme managed all Millennium Compliance internally and towards all global customers and all quality certification within Ericsson and ISO and was responsible for the organisations project management teams. 
 

IS / IT Programme Manager, Global Customer Support Organisation, Ericsson Telecommunicatie BV, The Netherlands & Ericsson Telecommunication, Burgess Hill, United Kingdom

November – April

Julia was overall responsible for the global IS/IT implementation for the GCSO Global Customer Support Office in all Ericsson locations Burgess Hill UK, Rijen Netherlands, Richardson USA, Melbourne Australia.  The role covered hardware and software implementations globally, including the coordination of global process writing, training, intranet and internet web access and databases.  She had to travel to all locations and remain to oversee the implementation of the system and train the local resources in the tool and relevant processes and procedures, including handing over subject matter expertise to a local resource in each location.

Julia initially joined Ericsson in a consultant capacity working in the Customer Support area, project managing service development projects for external clients including British Telecom, AT&T and WorldCom.
