Safety Director, American Rose Transport, Inc. This new trucking company started with two drivers and expanded to six
drivers six tractors and eight trailers in two years of operation. As a newcomer to this industry I was placed in a position of
high responsibility as Safety Director. I also assisted in dispatch duties and general office management. The small
company setting allowed me to be active in many areas of the business.
I helped to bring the company into DOT compliance and earned the “satisfactory” rating. The DOT auditor had high
compliments for our thorough record keeping and quality procedures. I was involved in all aspects of driver hiring and
insured the drivers met DOT qualifications. I maintained the driver qualification files and the maintenance files. I audited
driver logs, prepared accident files, and implemented drug and alcohol testing per DOT standards.
I helped to implement a wide variety of procedures to maintain DOT compliance as well as procedures for general office
management. Hiring procedures, driver handbook, safety orientation, driver trip sheets, accident reporting, drug and
I created an IFTA database Microsoft Access for quarterly and year end reporting of fuel and mileage statistics for each
state. Fuel and mileage reports could also be produced for each tractor or trip. I would assist in the dispatch of drivers and
suggest routes. I was also involved with employee relations/ conflict resolution. I learned the basics of QuickBooks and
designed various office forms and Excel spreadsheets for data analysis.

PowerPoint. Created home and ministry database applications. Learned to troubleshoot Microsoft Windows issues and
learned computer networking solutions.
Christian Ministry Evangelistic and prolife activities at various venues locally and nationally. Involved in a wide variety
of evangelistic methods: openair preaching, gospel literature distribution, doortodoor conversations, musical/ dramatic
performance, web sites, signage, pulpit sermons, etc.
Performed various jobs to supplement this calling lawn care, carpentry, home improvements, billboard painting, printing,
and delivery driving.
I worked in the banking industry for six years as a Programmer/ Analyst.
