    Employment History  

    August to present 

    I have been unable to work due to an eye problem. I have been declared able to work by my Doctor as well as my consultant at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. I am very keen to get back into full time employment. 

    July to August

    Newhall Publications/Candis Sales Executive 

    I was employed via an agency, Pam Antoney Associates. My job was to promote the monthly publication called Candis through doortodoor selling. Salary was £, pa plus commission and a company car was also provided. I had to resign my position due to a serious eye infection. 

    September to June

    Minivator Stair Lifts Area Sales Manager 

    I was employed by Minivator Stair Lifts as an Area Sales Manager. My territory took in all of London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. My duties were to negotiate with local authorities for the installation of their stair lifts and also to expand their dealer network. The normal order in revenue terms was £, and the local authorities that I looked after spent in excess of £ million per annum. My contract was terminated by mutual consent.  

    August to September

    Biggin Hill Shop Mobility Business Partner 

    The owner of a mobility organization based in Kent asked me to join him in setting up a retail business selling a wide range of mobility items. This was completed in October and the shop is now running well and is very profitable. My main duties were to organize home visits for assessment purposes. This involved taking some of the larger items out to demonstrate. I left when my business partner bought my share of the company. Typical order value was £, to £,. 

    November to July

    Cross Point Limited Consultant 

    My remit was to negotiate a license with Postcom to allow Cross Point access to the London hand delivery market. In this time I also won a couple of very large contracts to handle financial magazines out of the USA. This contract was worth £, monthly. I left when my contract ended.

    August to November Worldwide Mail Limited Business Development Manager My duties were to generate new sales and account manage the top clients. I was also tasked with setting up a parcel and courier service, which generated in excess of £, sales in the first months.

    Unfortunately the company went into voluntary administration and a previous employer, Pharos International, acquired the assets. I was made redundant.

    B&H Worldwide Limited Sales Director 

    My job involved selling international mails into the client base, which were primarily freight customers. I did however handle a couple of large distribution projects, which generated in excess of £, revenue. Reason for leaving: major reorganization in the company.

    My job involved primarily selling into the wholesale industry Target Worldwide Express and I was also involved with their sales training.

    The biggest success was gaining the European distribution for Book Club Associates.

    MBI Logistics went into liquidation.

    April to July Pharos International Sales and Marketing Director

    My job involved generating new sales and also managing sales executives.

    Our client base was in excess of companies generating a turnover of £ million per annum. The largest were DHL Worldwide Express and Cambridge University Press.

    I was made redundant when DHL moved their business to another supplier. Typical order value for DHL was a monthly spend of £, and Cambridge University Press was £,. 

    Prior to I worked for the Post Office and also for Royal Mail Parcel Force in London and the home counties. During this period of employment I passed various exams in sales management and negotiation skills as well as account management. 

    I have also worked in the pub trade gaining a pass certificate with the Licenced Victuallers Association whilst working for Youngs and Co Brewery.
