    Experience Details 

    //: Hirschbach Motor Lines HML, E Dubuque, IA Springfield MA offices: Director of Sales and Customer Service.

  • Successfully managed all Northeast sales for New England and New York Stateasset based and brokerage; in took on MD, PA, NJ and Eastern OH as well.
  • Added over loads per week through March .   HML brought an average of trucks weekly into area, so this constituted more than percent of their business and represented a percent increase over existing business when I first came on. 
  • Changed the brokertoshipper ratio for HML from % broker% shipper to % broker% shipper.  Third parties used were those we chose to enter into rate agreements with.
  • Managed Springfield MA customer service department; developed a successful business plan for evaluating, ranking and managing all customers in the Northeast; made decisions on customer prioritization.  During my tenure as Customer Service Manager,  HML did not lose one customer.
  • Drew up tariffs, negotiated pricing, rates, accessorials and had authority to sign transportation contracts.

  • Managed all accounts in New England, New York State and Ontario, CN.
  • Duties included interfacing and building bridges with all departments of company; billing, rating, sales, claims, customer service and fleet management.
