Responsible for the safe keeping, managing and administering of company funds.
Preparation of the monthly companies’ internal Financial Statements including bank
reconciliations of corporate bank accounts and financial reporting to the Main Office.
Preparation of the monthly Draw Request, Employee Petty Cash and Corporate Credit Card
administration, disbursement of the companies’ funds in order to settle vendor invoices Accounts
Preparation of supporting documents for submission to the accounting outsourcing firm.
Coordinate the outsourcing of the local Costa Rican accounting and Tax procedures. Ensure the
timely compliance, preparation and submission of all companies’ local fiscal responsibilities within
“Hacienda” related to the Tax Returns, Annual Returns, Informative Tax Returns, General Ledger,
Daily Journal and Balances & Inventories.
Preparation of the companies’ payroll Salaries, Vacation, Liquidation and Aguinaldo, online
management of the monthly Social Security CCSS payroll, Workers Compensation Riesgos de
Trabajo, RT and Salary Retention Hacienda as required by law.
Responsible to follow and enforce bank & Sugef guidelines and regulations as instructed by law
and build & maintain relationships with Bank officials in order keep a transparent and smooth line
Administration of Insurance policies & Consultant / Vendor contracts.
Preparation and maintenance of yearly budgets and inventories.

Overseeing the financial operations onboard a vessel fleet, covering all aspects of the
Financial Controllers operation complying with all internal and external audit requirements.
Support contact for implementation, execution and training of new and updated procedures &
controls; working with various shore side support teams Planning & Administration, Hotel
Operations, Human Resources and Accounting Operations to streamline policies & procedures;
and communicating new initiatives to the fleet.
Training of all new Financial Controllers and Pursers during the fleet’s complete reorganization of
the shipboard financial department. Guiding staff towards a superior level of performance by
training, coaching, and retaining qualified staff.
Responsible for onboard employees’ payroll, ship's funds and main safe, Guest accounts,
financial reporting to Main Office and budget preparation; while acting as shipboard Financial
Controller onboard the mv Galaxy + passenger and + crew.
Concern for guests' wellbeing with a proactive approach to problem solving and monitoring
customer satisfaction by taking personal responsibility by following through customer inquiries,
requests and complaints and anticipating problems and attention to details.
