Profile:   A fully qualified Chartered Waste Manager with a successful record in the management of Landfill, Transfer Stations, Composting, WastetoEnergy Plant, Recycling and Clinical Incineration, also the establishment of recycling processes and ISO accreditation. Further work in the Middle East where I drew on my experience to manage recycling projects and waste services for the Coalition Forces. Further work includes, the management of utilities and facilities for a LNG project.

Career Summery:    My waste management and recycling record encompasses the establishment of a new facility and client base for Fenside Waste Management of Cambridgeshire and the successful management of a landfill site for Redland Waste Disposal at Roxwell Essex.

Experience includes responsibility for the operation and accreditation to ISO for a wastetoenergy plant for Londonwaste, handling approximately million tons per year, and the implementation of Duty of Care regulations.

I was recruited by Fenside to establish a new site, and to put in place the infrastructure required profitably and environmentally to develop the company’s business.

This involved writing the protocols for health and safety, environmental monitoring and the conservation of two SSSI’s.

I actively pursued new business through personal contact, providing this new venture with a commensurate client base, consistently achieving budgetary targets.

In managing Fenside’s landfill business, I drew heavily on previous experience with Redland, where I had a good record of constantly improving relations with Essex County Council, achieved through careful maintenance of standards, bringing the business to an easy routine which had not previously existed.

My work as Waste Manager combined the traditional discipline of landfill with composting and construction waste recycling, gas to energy and leachate treatment.

This post included responsibility for modifications to site licenses in support of improved efficiency and profitability, and the awarding of tenders for new plant. Others areas of responsibility included Project Management for the building and installation of gas to energy and leachate treatment plants.

Recent work as a Waste Services Manager in Kuwait and Afghanistan has been with the Coalition Forces and the installation of recycling processes where none existed and the

implementation/management of H & S/Environmental systems in accordance with military/American, NATO local EPA laws and legislation managing Clinical, Hazardous, Solid and Recyclable Waste also as a Technical Project Manager with responsibility for Utilities/Facilities Camp Maintenance in Yemen.
